The online racing simulator
I own a ford escort RS Turbo S2 on a Dreg, well I brought the car and not one problem. So I started to get it track ready and did a lot of engine work and tracking jobs, upgrade turbo the works. Well,

I knew this girl and we started to chat back when I was building my car, she was a hottie, I mean, a stunner. Anyway 2 years later I decided to contact her and said ‘’ill come collect you tonight and we’ll go out for something nice to eat and a few drinks’’ of course I’ driving so I was drinking Coke. I’ve not had one problem with the car but hell, this came as a shock. I go and collect her, she gets strapped into the harnesses and make sure she is in ‘’wasn’t planning on driving fast’’ its dark and quite clear, I have HID’s to lighten up the road some more so they was cool, I pop the window down about ¾ and get some fresh air, also have the sun roof open a little. We started to cruise down this country lane, bouncing about because my car sustention is hard. I head down this enjoying her company then Wash, the window falls down, totally off its runners and I’m there trying to stop it falling out the window, normally ill ask a mate to grab the steering wheel but here I didn’t feel confident, with nearly 256bhp and lots of power I really didn’t fancy it. Pulled up, turned the engine off, and then put the window back in place, have some handy tools. Sorted. So off I go switch my fuel pump on and go to crank the car up, just turns over, WTF…. Battery is starting to go, I then noticed I didn’t turn my alarm off fully, had enough power to get the engine to run and yes…

Then behind me I see this car coming quite fast, BM ****ing W. Pulls up beside on this country road and here’ me thinking WTF, I think he wanted a race, looked to my left and there she is, ‘’I say’’ shall i? She replies with, hahaha you’ll lose and make a fool of yourself, so off I go, crank it down a gear and floor it, front end all over the place thinking SHIT SHIT SHIT, sliding towards this BMW. Let off the power a little and then try progress it. Then Floor it again and I here the turbo Spoil and the chatter from the waste gate and POP, the loudest bag I’ve ever heard. Figgerd this out and then taken her home.

She loved it that much I got woppy,(sex) the following day.
I've no idea what you just said.
I think the girl made him race a Beemer they met in the countryside and something went "BANG".

He got laid the next day.

Ah. I thought this thread was about accidents, maybe that's why I was confused.
I think the story is a load of bollocks.

Woppy? I've never heard that one before.

I've had a string of rather embarrasing racing accidents over the past 3 years, which I've already talked about and wont bore you with here.
Quote from wheel4hummer :I think the story is a load of bollocks.

Seconded and carried. If even any part of it is true, it'd be sympathy sex for him driving a presumably heavily Barried car.

5haz, just pick one and then we'll decide if it's worth hearing the others
Quote from thisnameistaken :I've never had a crash. I've been in a few (too many to mention) but I was never the driver.

I'm pretty careful and courteous on the roads. Even empty roads late at night I'm never tempted to drive like a dickhead. To be honest I enjoy the peace more than anything (traffic in York is usually a total grind).

You're full of shit!

Although, Even when I'm coming home on the freeway at 12:00 AM or later, I don't feel the urge to do more than the 110 KM/h speed limit, even when the drive can be up to 2 hours to get home.

Although, part of that is that to do 110, my 4Runner needs to be doing 3000 RPM in 5th... :s
TBH most of the time if I'm driving late at night I'm coming back from band stuff. If it's rehearsals I know the roads fairly well but they're unlit and pretty crazy and it'd be easy to find yourself upside-down in a field (I've driven past accident scenes a few times on those roads). If it's gigs then I'm often on roads I don't know so again I wouldn't drive like a tit because I'd probably get snapped by a camera or collared by laz0r-toting rozzers.

And, honestly, it just doesn't appeal to me. I use cars to move me and my stuff around, hopefully safely, I don't see them as toys like I guess some people do. I wouldn't intentionally do over 85 on the motorway, even if it was empty, it's just too much hassle if you get caught.

What's the big deal with that? Cruising on the motorway I can be sat at nearly 4000rpm in my Mondeo. So that means 3000rpm is roughly 100km/h.
well for a Diesel (which I expect the 4Runner to be), thats relative high.
This is America/Canada, I thought cars only came with 5 litre petrol V8s, and diesel was still reserved for trucks and rednecks.
China's still cool. You pay later! Later!

Au Contraire, I have a measly 4 banger. It's a vehicle older than me, rusted to crap, but still runs well, doesn't go through any oil, and gets me where I need to go.

Also, 3,000 is kinda high, when redline is just over 5,500 or so. and it sounds disgusting at 4,000.

Also, I have the retardedly oddball/rare 2-door 4Runner...

Really? All of my Toyota 4 poppers I could have set in any gear, laid a brick on the pedal, and rode around at 7700 rpm (rev limiter) all day long without a worry. (89 truck, 88 4Runner, and 99 Tacoma) The 88 and the 89 were the best running and toughest vehicles I've ever had with the 88 being the most mileage (189k). My new-to-me 94 Honda with 181k is catching up though.
I dunno, maybe I just feel bad about revving the crap out of stuff. Also, I've never hit even close to the rev limiter.

Then again, I don't drive like a total idiot, as it's too expensive on gas for me to do so.
Nothing major, ran into a few cones whilst reversing panel vans on various occasions. Did run a guy off the road once just steered into him and he ran out of road so he hit the sand and rolled over a few times, but he was in a slammed Lada, so it was aight.

My '87 4Runner (1.6 with a turbo IIRC) was a piece of shit, drank oil, so sluggish you could stomp on the gas and the thing would lazily lurch forward about a second later, felt like it had about the same power as a little Japanese city car.

Plus the A/C was knackered and the heater wasn't much better, and the electric windows were intermittent (wouldn't go down in the blazing sunshine when the A/C wouldn't come on, wouldn't go up if it started raining so I'd sit there getting soaked, wouldn't go up in a parking lot in East Orange of all places, etc.), key-activated rear window (which had to be wound down before you could open the tailgate) wouldn't always work so sometimes I'd drive to gigs and not be able to get my gear out of the back... I'm sure I have other complaints about it but I can't remember them right now.

Mine was a 2-door too. With a removable plastic roof shell thing that I took off one summer and couldn't get the ****ing thing to go back on again. What a stupid ****ing car that was.

I ended up preferring to drive a '62 Volvo that drove like a bus, but at least the heater worked and I could open and close the windows and doors at will.
My rear window motor is on its death bed, luckily I can put everything I need in the back seat (**** passengers!). No AC, but that's fine as it doesn't really get that hot here. Heater works damn well atleast (within 2 minutes of startup, at - degrees, it's nice and warm.)

Also, bask in the glory that is manual ****ing windows.

The accident was the kid that showed up nine months after the woppy
