@ eddy678 Dude these are f#ckin drawings, come on. I guess that since you have S2 you have VWS You do realize that the skin viewer is free, right? I am getting sick of this.

Great stuff! Keep up the good work!

Quote from hp999 :IMHO there should be a "tool" to let them do that, but I can't really see the point of it since almost every single demo user(who's hooked to LFS ofcourse) is going to buy S2 sooner or later. Demo is just a taste of S2.

I play lfs since at least 2006. Love the idea for the spectating, and replay viewing, btw. Don't really have any plans of buying it. I kinda understand why we are not supposed to make new cars for the game (cause ther will be tons of garbage). But on the track side i totaly don't get why it's closed for modding. Drive on any famous track in rFactor - they are absolutely great! I had so much fun on nordschleife! - even the best physics can't replace that. There are tons of examples, like Pikes peak, Laguna seca, Monza, Top gear track, etc. I would love to drive the XFG in nordschleife!

Quote from Gnomie :So bumpy.. The typical "vertex bumps" which are found in most netkar addon tracks. I suspect it's because of too big grids in the track surface mesh. Ruins some tracks completely, like Barcelona.

Nordschleife is bumpy. I am not sure if it's that bumpy, but i won't be surprised.

Too bad that wolfshark isn't around, it'd be great to know if it works for him too.

I will be - maybe Friday or Saturday. I really can't test anything now.

As far as i know you can increase the smoothnes - server side, but if the bandwidth isn't enough that may even crate more lag.

Implementing night and/or rain is very clever, because you can use the same tracks and cars and still make the game feel very different. This also makes it easier for the devs than making a track for example.

I like the comment below, from the creator of the track
Quote :You have a good reflection man....eventhough I built this track an ran on it for hundred times, still not good in night version and keep smashing the wall lol...

Nice run...

I opened the config utility and then started capturing to eliminate unneeded junk. I started from 100%, then 75%, 50%, 25%, 0%

Edit: repacked the archive again - forgot to export to html

The aspect ratio is wrong - there is no AF/AA, the camera could be better, the music is good, overall - not very good, but you should try again - it might work.

Quote from MadCatX :The autocentering is what looks most troubling at the moment. Every wheel we tested so far seems to use a bit different command format. If you can waste another 5 minutes of your existence doing another sniff, here how:
- Launch USBLyzer and select your wheel as you did before
- Open the Logitech control panel, open the configuration window and enable "Centering spring"
- Set the strength to 0 %, close the config window, and open in again (driver sends data to the wheel only after the config window is closed)
- Increase strength by 25 % and repeat the opening/closing until you reach the maximum.
When you upload the logs, please export them as HTML so I don't have to launch windows every time I want to read them

MadCatX - should i do that too with my Formula EX or you already have the data you want?

Quote from McLinux :and you have done better where exactly? just think before you post!

Sorry, but you should think before posting. I don't have to be a musician to say - this song sucks, or an artist to say - this picture sucks, or a chef to say - this meal tastes s#itty, you got the point...

Ken block sucks at WRC I am not a rally driver and i can say that

I care, but it's a bit different. Here you go - only ffb, no wheel/pedals movement. Started capturing and then opened the calibration utility.

I made what you said + one more dump for the throttle and brake. First i pressed the throttle, released it, then brake and released it. I guess that could help for separate axis.

When i pushed a button to initiate FFB i am 100% sure that the wheel didn't move, but on the calibrating app it moved slightly. Repeated the process now and the sam thing happened.
I am attaching the file here.

No, the game runs perfectly, but there are some FFB issues that have nothing to do with the game, but with the drivers and wine. MadCatX done an absolute magic and things are far better now!

Quote from Krammeh :yup we do.but you dont have enough spare cash. :P

Not only i don't have enough spare cash - i am at minus. (mainly cause of the real car)
And if things don't get moving in LFS i am buying Minecraft :P

What you are supposed to do on Cruise server?
My question is serious, i really don't know. If it's just lapping the circuit at slow speed i seriously don't get it.

Finaly Vdrift worked. The ffb is working, no autocentering in game But that game absolutely sucks! Very very heavy and not really good-looking graphics, stupid physics, stupid feel.

Now for the autocentering. Yesterday when i tried to disable autocentering both ways failed and made the wheel turn constantly left - this is dangerous for the motor, so i turned it to 90 again to center it.

When i play Vdrift and exit - there is no autocenter. When i play LFS and exit there is strange autocentering - stroing on the right and weak on the left. There are no sudden left jerking problems with Vdrift, so i guess that's wine problem. In LFS the jerks do happen, let's say once a lap for a very short time but they are really strong and ultimately they may destroy my wheel.

I tried the tests of fftest and they are not working. Also the center spring isn't switching off there. When trying to switch the center spring off with LTWheelConf or ffset it goes hard left.

I red about that, but that didn't work either, so i am compiling it
It's a b#tch - i hate thes game. I had to broke Ogre and Hugin to be able to install it. I am downloading the data and i will test it but for so many years haven't succeed with that stupid game.

Tried Speed Dreams - no force feedback, but i think that game doesn't have FF at all. Tried Vdrift from playdeb, but no force feedback there, i haven't tried to compile it - it's a nightmare app to compile.

Finaly my wheel is woring under linux! MadCatX you are great.
The strange thning is that outside of the game the center spring is working but the wheel isn't exactly centered I don't really care about that, really. The important think is that ingame the center spring is gone and i finally feel what the car is doing. There is only one tiny issue - roughly every 30 sec the wheel jurks left for, i don't know 0.1s or less. The pedals are still combined, but the patch has nothing to do with that. I don't use brake and throttle at the same time anyways.

Or actually race...
This can be considered as cheating - because you can use the cruise control in pits.
