Quote from RiGun :I took the liberty to edit the existing Español Latino language file, I think that racers from Latin America should check it, especially the original translator, there are quite a few new lines that have been changed, mostly English words that remained in the old Castellano/Español Latino, I also checked that some controversial words as "llantas" are used by dictionary definition to avoid confusion in different countries.

This file still needs to be polished to reach LFS' standard of quality before it can be included in a official release.

At first glance there are some spelling errors, maily accents missing. I can also see some inconsistencies in the use of capital letters.

However I am not sure how productive this is since the devs are still looking for feedback to decide whether they should keep the Latino version or not.

I am from Colombia, South America and I think the Español Latino version should be abandoned to favor a revision of the Español version.

I also volunteer my help to contribute to whatever the solution is.

This is exactly why I think creating a Latino version is useless. Every single word would start a non-sensical silly war over what country uses what word and which one is right.

Carro, coche, auto, automovil, ... we ALL spanish speakers know what it is.

Timon, Volante, etc ... we all know what they mean.

I seriously don't think there is a need to put out a Latino version. should we have to versions of english for Color and Colour? Tyre and Tire? I don't think so.

This has always been a HOT issue with all spanish speaking countries. There are many many differences and attempting to deal with all the tastes may prove impossible. I work in the web development business and trying to translate sites into a spanish flavor that all spanish-speaking folks would agree on is really really hard.

Maybe we are better off leaving the Castellano translation alone as the only Spanish translation. I don't a British English and American English versions or a French and Canadian French or African French versions ... it is the same issue.

Every single country that speaks spanish have different dialects and jargon but I don't think that requires an entire new translation. Maybe tweaking the current Castellano version would be more appropriate.

I experienced this bug too.

Actually I think LFS is painting the shadow on the bridge!. Try this:

Park the car under the bridge and go into Shift+U mode. sert the camera as low as possible and move the camera back and forth so that it is out of the bridge's shadow and in. You'll see that when the camera enters the shadow it automatically jumps to the bridge's level. I think LFS is confusing the track surface and the bridge surface.

if you select any view outside the car you'll that the car appears very bright as if there was no shadow over it.

Quote from Leandrus :The same happend to me before... solution: to edit or set new cameras i have to use LFS Version Y

PD: It's there a way to set TVDirector to work without the Shif+F function, because it will be nice to se the names of the driver wile they are running, this is because of people watching the race on streaming and it's easy to fallow the race. if it's not implemented. Can it be?

Sorry for bad english

Yes, there should be a way to bring up at least the name of the driver on focus. I know TVD does it but it would be great if we could show the overlays with a command. For example if we want to show the name of the driver being focused, the list of drivers with their pit stops and of course the race order as it stands, or at least as the last time they went through the line.

Is this currently possible? Can it be implemented if it is not?

I can't believe it was that simple!! and I can't believe I always tried to edit the cameras on pause!!

I have seen this issue brought up by a number of people but I can't seem to find the answer.

While in editing mode the cameras, whether new or existing, can't be moved. this is what I do:

I rotate through the cameras until I have the one I want to move, move the camera to the new location and then enter "m" in the chat. nothing happens, I see the m on the chat but no feedback from TVD. and of course the camera does not move. What are we missing?

FYI I am running a Vista PC.

I followed the instructions exactly as they were laid out in the documentation with and without the GUI and it just won't work.

Please help us as I know I am not the only one with this problem.

PS: GREAT WORK I LOVE THIS APP!!!

Quote from FL!P :I see, thanks for the info.

I read in CamLevel's thread that it forces the camera to look forward, so obviously it's the intended behavior. Therefore, uninstalling FlipCams won't change anything. You could keep it installed and use it when you're not using CamLevel, or your could even define your FlipCams cameras in relation with CamLevel and use them both together (for example you could have one FlipCam "attached" to the front bumper, one inside the car, one on its roof, one on the rear wing, etc.). They all will point forwards, but it's still better than a single cam.

True, maybe I was not clear saying there was a conflict. Both applications work as intented. Again great work.

You mentioned that FlipCams is based on an Autohotkey script ... is the source script available?

Quote from FL!P :Glad you like it and you RTFM, vicbel.

However, would you mind elaborating a bit on the conflicts you experienced? The way FlipCams works, it shouldn't conflict with anything.

Cheers,

Flip

When using Camlevel (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=37537) all the flipcams are forced to view forward. I have some cameras setup to look to the back and these are forced to look forward when using camlevel.

Hope this helps.

FL!P Great work!! I love this ... however it is having some conflict with another add-on I use which tinkers with the cameras as well (Cam Level). I was wondering what is the procedure to uninstall FlipCam ... or at least disable it when I don't need it.

Again great work and THANKS!!

MERCI BEAUCOUP!

EDIT: Never mind I found the instructions to uninstall on the Readme file (RTFM!!!)

It's me again. I figured it out. All I had to do was RTFM!!

As a demo racer I had to use my nickname (including color) in the .cfg file. I did that plus running LFSRelax as admin and that solved it. I can now see my fuel laps, the shift blip works ... all is good.
PB.txt not found

Ok, I figured out the problem with PB.txt not being found or created. I had to run LFSRelax as an admin (in Vista) for it to be able to create and access the file. However no data is being recorded. any thoughts?

I have the first three working but the rest I can't make them work. I still get the ./PB.txt error when I start LFSRelax ... can anyone help? PLEASE!

Quote from Cabby :Did you make sure that 'PB' was capitalized? Not sure if it truely matters but mine is capitalized to look exactly like in the config file.

That did not work either. PB.txt

Quote from Cabby :I have yet to see the fuel info or the shift bip working and think they might currently be broken. As for your PB.txt file issue make sure that you have this file in the same directory that you have the LFSRelax.exe file. If there is no PB.txt file there just create a blank one with notepad and it should start working once the file exists.

I tried creating the blank file ... in the same directory ... and it did not work.
