Quote from Becky Rose :I have raced Pro Karts (not Pro as in professional, pro is the class) for around 15 years now, i've done Formula TKM and a bit of Formula C in that time too - and the only flexible axle i've seen was the result of an accident...

Possibly you are right, but there are a lot of types of hardness. Hardest for bad grip tarmac, softest for masive grip tarmac.

Hi all;

This thread is only for to end a discussion between my friend and me;

I say that a kart is totally different than by example a GTR (or MRT5)
My arguments are that karts aren't suspension less than most people think, karts chasis are flexible and that flexibility is eliminated or not by adding or removing bars. The flexibility is very important setup in karts. And how simulate something like the flexibility of a chasis?
Also you can change the rigidity of the rear axes....Yes, axes are more or less hard to better adapting of the wheel on the tarmac.

Second argument; the way that a kart have more grip in the corners. When you have a narrower rear or front axes, the kart have more grip because the tendence of the kart to overturn. When the kart is "on two wheels" the grip is masive! But if the tarmac have much grip, you possibly have to alarge the axes for not to go doing jumps all the time.

Then the way to adapt a kart in LFS isn't than easy like "you have to remove suspensions and run", is it?

Almost all reverses are better and harder than standards!

When I read that many people don't use them: illepall Please, try them, and please, put the plubic servers on REV too!

You should desactivate spring and damper effects on windows, those effects are made by LFS (much better )

It is not only a WR challenge problem at all, for example the world leagues are often limited or ordered by PBs. And then only with a little engine modification (+15 hp) cheaters time will be slighty better...
Mekanik's cheats need a solution

No online times done with this kind of cheat!
No falses HLVC!

Mekanik only in offline mode!

Other ways give us to NFS...

I agree

But.... With less "no-grip" time will be much realistic IMO

Quote from axus :Does your kart have downforce? And are its tyres as soft compound slicks as the race cars in LFS? A formula 1 tyre is like chewing gum when it is warm.

Yes, kart tyres too! Thats the reason why the grip is perfect 3 seconds later than the grass-walk! The tyres are "grassy" but the they "absorve" the grass and the grip is ok

I have a kart and when I go out the track to the grass, the tyres grip bad 2 or 3 seconds, not 2 o 3 curbs.....illepall Even with grass in the tyre, the grip is perfect

Quote from Scawen :Because F9 to F12 are reserved for the S2 type things (temps / damage / pit stops).

CTRL+F9 to CTRL+F12 were unused, so a good place to put assignable text. The Cyberseat guys needed this at the show, because until today, there was no way to restart a game without going to the keyboard, or using an InSim program. Now you can map a wheel button to some text "/restart".

To map any button to any key is a bigger issue, fully flexible system, couldn't be done that quickly without some kind of a rewrite.

Sorry, I understood something completly different about maping wheel buttons...Like F9-F12 to fast access to pit strategy.

BTW, I have a cyberseat and with a free aplication, you can map any keyboard button to a wheel button. This is very usefull to avoid keep the hands off the wheel to change strategy

Scawen, why CTRL+F9, CTRL+F10... ?

It must be only F9, F10,F11 and F12, isn't it?

Quote from AndroidXP :How about you look at the "screenshot"?

On the very top you can see a "Tracks" section which clearly represents the different folders. You can create new and delete existing ones there. As soon as you click on one of those "Tracks" buttons, "drag stirp" for example, the setup list on the right changes to those contained in the corresponding folder.

Can you do it now in LFS? I don't understand you...

Quote from RudiTurbo :I believe this is some edit by someone of how the sets could be saved in LFS.
Actually it has the idea there which I've had, have a folder for every track

And how do you access to those folders? There is not a navigator in LFS, isn't it?

Quote from xaotik :They are short for "primero/primera", "segundo/segunda", etc - so they are indeed a simple superscript "o" and "a".

Quote from scawen :The circle, in the masculine version, should it actually be the letter o and not really a circle?"

so, little "o" and "a"

To Scawen:

There is a very little "bug" in characters in LFS: In spanish we can say "first" masculine or feminine and if you resume "first" like "1st", we say like "1º" masculine and "1ª" feminine. But even with the p4 patch, we still can't say "1ª" because instead of "ª" there is a square
