Are replays recorded using the LFS server software? If yes, do they get uploaded? If no how can I record races into replays.
If they aren't uploaded, how can I retrieve those replays?
Basically is there any way to store a replay of a race that is 75 laps with a bunch of drivers? I'm hoping to record the league event I'm running, but I need an answer soon because it starts in 7 hours.
I may have to reschedule the upcoming event on the 16th, but I don't know for sure yet.
My friends who are home hosting the server on a rack had a power failure and one of the rack components is not booting, preventing the server from starting.
I'll post here before tomorrow ends with updates (and should I have to reschedule, an updated schedule)
Do you happen to have such a script available? I haven't learned anything about Lapper yet so I wouldn't be able to do it myself. I need it before the 16th for a league event if possible, and if not I've got some programming to do lol...
When you're on the forums (https://www.lfs.net/forum/) make the LFS banner at the top link to the forums home (https://www.lfs.net/forum/) when you click on it.
When you're on the main page, make it link to the main page (https://www.lfs.net/)
Just a small idea. I've found myself clicking the banner many times only to find myself at the lfs.net home instead of the forums home, then I have to go back and click the Forums button and it's just a hassle.
I was planning for season 3 forward to be able to use the XRG+XFG due to my server setup. I think I'll have it all figured out by season 3, but if its sooner, season 2 will be XRG+XFG
(my reason is because I want to host the league races on the same server as my 3 lap race server, and I don't want users changing their car in the middle because of the concept of endurance racing)
EDIT: heck, I might even have it figured out before the end of season 1, and in that case, I'll change the remaining races to XRG+XFG. The issue I'm having is disallowing users to pit. I don't want them to pit and not be able to rejoin, so preventing them to pit would solve that. Also I don't want them to be able to reset the car. If you blow up your engine, you're out. That's how the 24hr of Le Mans was, that's how this will be
EDIT2: I realize my reasoning makes no sense as one car wont prevent pitting. Ignore that, both will be allowed.
maybe I'll send this around to get more publicity. I'll also be running my simulator setup at multiple events so I could also do some advertising at those.
I use gedit for all my web development (and soon lapper). I like it because of the simplicity. No auto tag completion, no fancy anything. Just syntax coloring and automatic indents.
The server will be password protected an hour before, and during the race. The password is listed on the discord server which is league signup only, and also on the league page. Anyone not on the signup list will be kicked due to the small max player count of the server.
