Hi,

Pulling out of this league and Kyoto 500.

Was looking forward to some good oval racing but looking at the behaviour of some drivers (like J. Kursk and M. Bos) it wont happen.

If you have a job that pays well enough that you do not need to borrow money on a credit card so you don't have one - is there a way to pay?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Banshee run your next series on a Friday or Saturday evening. I really enjoyed the race and atmosphere at the Christmas event I did, but it was 3.00am and I can't do that and go to work the next day.

A brake light would just be used to try to confuse and put off drivers trying to overtake, so would probably be more dangerous.

Hamilton could have looked for the huge light at the end of the pitlane, but didn't. Such is life - an embarrassing mistake which unfortunately, judging by his post race demeanour and interviews, did nothing to halt the creeping arrogance that could eventually consume him.

Next race with his 10 place penalty will be revealing. He will have to fuel a little on the heavy side as he can't sit in the middle of the grid on a short two stopper. I just wonder if from 11th - 15th whether he will have the necessary patience or will he be spamming "MOVE OVER I AM FASTER" at all the poor schmucks who don't get to drive a McLaren or Ferrari.

We are particularly interested in hearing from XRR drivers as we are usually a bit stretched on a Saturday night for IGTC - for the last race I had to do a 2 hour stint just after running 1 hour 40 minutes in OWRL F1 :tired:. I am getting too old to do that, so if you like the XRR and want a slot in IGTC, come and say "Hi!"

The way they are pricing reminds me of The Sims 2 that I seem to buy every week for my daughter. If there was a shiny Sims 2 box in the shop with all the add-ons included for £150 I would not buy it for her, yet that is probably at least what it has cost me.

Having said that, if iRacing becomes the leading means of competing in online sim-racing then I guess I will have no choice but to buy it.

Can we have some more mid-week practice sessions please? Saturday and Sunday are pretty full with league races. For example I couldn't make this evening's test because I was driving in OWRL and I can't make tomorrow evening's test because that clashes with LFSCART, which I also can't make because it's a double clash with GFC.

This whole farce makes eSport a very bad name in the LFS community. When you look at the professionalism and popularity of other leagues (like Gentlefoot, OWRL, IGTC, OLFSL) there is lots of choice and eSport would find it hard to gain people's trust.

Although I would probably enter UK Season 2, but that is only because I am a "League Whore"

Quote from mkinnov8 :

What do drivers in Formula One and other types of Motorsport do to keep tyres warm while under a safety car?

They work the brakes really hard and use the carbon fibre discs as huge hotplates to heat the tyres. Weaving side to side, in LFS or in real life, does not do a lot. Weaving just provides friction, but to really heat tyres you need load.

Ah, that was me - I embellished the holiday story with the beach thing

Ships that pass in the night, DWB - I won't be at the next event as I'm hoping to polish off another GFC Championship on Sunday. Definitely coming back after that though in the hope that the numbers pick up.

(Only works in single seaters. I don't like to wind down the windows in the GT's as it gets a bit nippy, and the heaters broken.)

Don't forget the mysterious new area of South City that is on the LFS Remote map...

I'm not really fussed about the pace of development. I'm a "League Whore" so there's always something to practice for, always someone to try to beat. I see LFS more as a means to compete rather than a game. In a sense it's a bit like a football pitch, which is a means to compete at football (or soccer if Forbin's reading this ).

Football hasn't really changed much at all in its fundamentals. Looking at the next "Premier League Patch" they've upped the number of substitutes from 5 to 7. Hardly earth shattering but I still can't wait for the new season to kick off.

Good luck, especially to Rudy who I have raced closely with many times. It is a shame you left spdo and therefore OWRL F1.

I've had a "lowly" TN panel for a few weeks now (22" Samsung 2232CW I think).

I am very happy with it. I know that the common consensus is that you have to be slightly retarded to like TN panel monitors but consider what you are using it for.

Mine is just my PC and it is mainly for games, with a bit of work brought home and internet surfing too. It doesn't matter in the slightest to me that you can't view it at an angle and I haven't really noticed colour differences because I don't really care about that. It is, in my opinion, a great monitor for LFS and general PC use. It's also fine for watching DVDs.

So, decide what the monitor is for and choose your model based on that, not what graphic designers want.

Very happy to grab 11th place in the last sector of the race

Kringle seemed nicely placed when I checked after doing the OWRL F1 race but we suffered a disco and I think that's where we lost our lap. I came on for my double stint in about 20th place and just set about overtaking everything I could find as we were out of place according to the server due to the disco. The only time I was overtaken in those 2 hours was when my monitor turned itself off as I hadn't pressed any keys so it went to power saving.

The disco was a real shame - overall I think we could have challenged the top 6 with our pace but it was still great fun just blasting round catching and passing anything that moved.

Thanks to the admins! Looking forward to the next race.

Quote from Darkone55 :The FO8 is a great car, that more people should drive!

I think that there would be even less people driving it when it had 600 HP. It's fine as it is... No, it's not fine, it's great!

Mostly agree.

450hp is a bit low. Push it to 550hp which is about A1GP level and we get room for a 350-400hp FO6

Safety car and the new pit lanes rules could have a massive influence on this race. It is impossible to predict. If someone pits just before a SC then they will get to the front as everyone else cycles through. Pitting early would be the smart thing to do, except that could put the front runners right in the middle of the pack.

If it is complete chaos then who knows? Maybe Button, Webber or Rosberg could win.
