Well this way you could build in a certificate that LFS checks.
You could go the netkar way with the tracks... also some semi official mods.

Quote from StableX :I can say from my experience, that I get a little bored sometimes.

However, once you get the license and start racing on the CTRA servers you'll never get bored at all. They have a sequence of licenses you can get that come as a result of you accumulating points from races, depending on your laptime and finishing position.

I never get bored of those!

Becky paying you now? But you are right. And dont forget the generaly full servers and clean racing. The rotation of tracks.

Quote from Maelstrom :Reasons:
- Not many different combos available online! You can't find one you want to play at this time.
- Your internet connection is heavily used (P2P?)
- You don't know the track and you don't want to play alone. Some people are not tolerant towards someone who is actually training during their race!
- You want to play an unclean game.
- You don't have much time to spare at this time. A game against AI can be started in no time and last for as long as you want. To play online you need to look for a game + wait for the race to start +The number of laps may not suit your available time.

Edit: I almost forget a very important one. You want to win a Race (that's for the slow drivers like me )

Never get any objections on a restart either if i cock up one more time

If we are going that way they should be varied for the car you are running at a certain time. The amount of speed can be very influential in the reaction time you need to avoid collisions and should be in the settings pitspotter uses.

Quote from JMacari :well that worked, not sure why i had such a problem lol. thanks

the pitspotter seems to be a bit misleading, it told me a car was right when i could clearly see the car was not via mirrors. just me or has this been common?

Well it uses same settings for all the cars. You can edit them to your liking in the cfg file.

Quote from JMacari :i'm sorry, but i'm a super n00b here... what exactly is insim? the features of this lfsrelax seem very neat, but i have been unsuccessful at setting it up and thought if i better understood what insim was i could figure it out?

You dont need this info... really.

Just type /insim 29999 in your text window. ALT_TAB out of lfs and start LFSrelax and it should work. Providing you have microsoft .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0 installed.

I am not always getting fuel readings today. Have driven races when it kept saying --.

Maybe its because i first player singleplayer?

Nope lo res are downloaded in skins_x and hi-res in skins_y or the other way around.

And you dont need to delete anything. The switch in game to higher res will take care that lfs check right map.

Quote from Avatar13 :Thanks for your reply!

Yup, installed into its' own directory.

Don't have Winamp so I skipped this part. Do I need it for any reason? Doubt it as you said "if I want to..."

TCP/IP is enabled.

Firewall has given permission, though I've even tried it without it running.

This isn't something I add, is it? I saw these entries already listed with the end so I just made sure they are the same.

Guess that answers my question.

Okay, I did all this (except the Winamp part) and even used the 29999 port but everything still seems the same as in my last post, i.e., have no indication that it works and see no output files.

Okay, I did this and see that Vcom isn't communicating at all with LFS, just keeps saying I should start it and then eventually ends with an error code of 6 unknown error.

Yup, saw all that plus the above, unfortunately.

Okay, I'll do that when I get a free moment. Thanks a lot for helping me figure this out as I've been going nuts trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong!

Does Vcom need .net framework??

Quote from danben7 :yeah out of all the sims i've tried LFS is the closest to real life

the main difference and problem i've had getting used to is the rear sliding, normally you feel it in your arse and you can anticipate it easily, in LFS i sorta had to learn how far i could push then try and feel it through the steering wheel, haha it's a weird feeling

Liking that... hey?

Quote from muhaa :Hold on there is nothing to say i have to tell them any thing about this i could keep it to my-self im not sure haw easy it will be to fix this problem.I wasn't sure if it was exploitable i needed to do more testing on this which i confirmed my suspicions that it is,Do you think it is that easy just to write a poc with debugging info and send it to them try it and let me know,It take's time to write every thing up with explanation of the stuff needed.I need to know which language they want the pc code in..Perl,ruby,python,c c++ but ill send them an email i wasn't going to bother them till i new that it was exploitable which i know now.

Sent email fingure's crossed they take it seriously.

If they take our safety and LFS seriously, which they do. They probably will. Just bear in mind its holiday season now.

Link tells me nothing i am afraid. Made me dizzy though. This is not really the place for this kind of technical info. Don't know if you are referring to a general windows bug or something LFS devs can prevent.

My experience is that the devs are quite receptive to the community and communicate with it a lot.

This kind of bug/exploit can best be handled with them directly.

And yes it has been posted as a request serveroption in suggestions already.
SpikeyMarcoD

Well the other suggestions should work in client mode also, even in hotlapping i guess. Just browse through the addon forum here.
and try LFS lapper for instance.

Quote from Gai-Luron :LFSRelax 1.41 Released

The first column are the gap split and diff relative to your better absolute split1 2 3 and Last

The second colum are your split and difference between splits of your PB Lap Time and no better absolute split

in fact you can have bad gap split relative to yours betters gaps splits and have splits better than splits of your PB Lap Time

The sum of better gap split is the theorical PB Lap Time you can do it if in one lap you do all better Gaps splits ( Equivalent to TPB on Lapper when you type !spb ). For now i don't display this info. Maybe in next Release

Fuel work after one Lap or 2 depend if you start to pit after finish line or before. it need one complete lap to work. After this, it work always since shutdown LFSRelax or change car or track.

RTFM There is a doc!! Anyway

extract prog where you want. You need only bin directory, copy content where you want and edit LFSRelax.cfg file:

Set password in LFSRelax file according to your admin pass when you host a game on your LFS.

Set Username according to your lfs license name ( needed for saving PB)

launch LFS and type /insim 29999 in your LFS

launch LFSRelax

Gai-Luron

Very confusing with the laps. So one is to my alltime PB (locally stored not LFSW) and one is to my best of that race. Is that about right maybe some headers in next version.

Quote from mejlus :Or you can run hidden/private multiplayer server on your PC, and then run practice. Then your times will be uploaded to LFS World.

Yep but i thought he meant all his achievements on the other servers. They obviously are already in LFSW.

I'd love to be able to connect to LFS world in single player mode, I think it'd make a lot of things better.

Well you can run a private server

I have it working all the time fuel. Did you perhaps change the settings in cfg? I am wondering about the indicators of splittimes. What does it mean that the differences for 1st split are not equal?
SpikeyMarcoD
S2 licensed
There are several.

LFSlapper
or Vcom
Think LFSstats also

check in the addons forum. They first will appear for servers but you can run them all on clients. They will save your times/races in somway on your HDD.

Quote from Austin31287 :the lfsrelax.exe dont load from the bin folder

It should. Be sure to have .net framework (think 2.0) installed and the config (lfsrelax.cfg) adapted to your needs.

oo and lfs running with insim on port 29999 (/insim 29999)
