Hey again, Everyone is getting spectated for false starts leaving pits, I apparently have it "false" but it still persists to spec people.

# Always spectate for false start - boolean
# Send to pitlane for false start - boolean
# Could be good for short races or for having race without penalties.
SpecFalseStart=false
PitFalseStart=false

It is the default setting so I assume it's correct.

Hey thanks for the reply.

I tried and tried to do it by deleting text heheh. In the long-run I only needed a # in the ad-dons used.

No that is not possible. You have to 'manually' repeat that information again if you want to have it in Motd.

Oh OK, when the ButtnMotd box pop's up, how would I go about getting names in there? (Manually)

It's pretty much so others can see if they are on the race list.

Is it possible to remove the Welcome-screen?

I tried and get this.

EDIT: i managed to remove the text but the buttons are still there, How can I remove this so lapper starts without the accept deny buttons?

where I have:

Is it possible to display all the Registered Users from here:

(So when they press "OK" and the window pops up, it displays names from the Rname=...)

Hi, Awesome insim app!

I want to add a button but when I do, it either doubles it up on one line, or repeats whats after the + symbol..

Can ya fill this in so I know? Cheers !

It is supported, the part your talking about is uploading it so everyone can see,( Look at me Look at me ).

I'm flattered that it took 6 years for a chameleon skin to be put up. , I have only been Editing for under a year, and only seen this thread post about a week ago.


In future, Don't "hate comment" on posts/threads that you clearly don't know anything about.Or learn to criticize constructively.

Heheh I expected that, as the idea originated from the animated objects, I thought the mipmaps only went by distance, but somehow the skin goes by angle as well. Cool concept though. Cheers!

It's a DDS file for starters. All DDS files have 13 Layers called mipmaps.
There isn't 1 .jpeg in there.

I have no time to explain to kids. Go learn some.

What do you mean? Ridiculous? This thread made gave me inspiration to try.

These skins change color depending on what angle you look at it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "multiple layer coatings" but if you look into "mipmap" a bit, you might find LFS, and most other games out there, have "multiple layer coatings". 13 Layers to be exact.

Hey, i managed to make a chameleon paint skin that changes color depending on what angle you look at it.

It's a bit tricky as whatever the top coat is, it blends with the 2nd coat.
(Blue top coat and red bottom coat= Purple chameleon).

I recommend trying the black one first.

DDS needs to be placed in SKINS_DDS folder.


I am trying to figure out how to make the color transitions less pixel-ed.

THIS DOES NOT REPLACE ANY FILES. IT IS A SKIN FILE.

Hey, I have made a few just to test what its like, a bit tricky as whatever the top coat is, it blends with the 2nd coat.

PLACE IN SKINS_DDS not SKINS FOLDER.

The black one works great I reckon.

I figured something pretty cool!

you can edit each mipmap in the skins_dds folder to make your own chameleon paint!

Also, you can make realistic decals with reflection (like a chrome sticker) with the Alpha channel, Its the same concept as skins in "that other game"

Hi, is there a way to quicken up the transition speed to the next mipmap?

In videos I have seen the transition to be nearly instant, only needing to walk away or towards the object a little bit ( a few steps and its done its fading transition)

Hi, I have managed to make some cool animated objects, I plan to do as many as i can.

Just in case you cant reach the video,I have uploaded a DDS file for you to try it.

When your placing an object in LFS Autocross, Select "Markers" or "Cones". ( I haven't done any others yet, these were a test ).


Marker 100 - marker 25 needs to be aligned to spell THE HOME OF ANGLE. (Does't NEED to but it's what it is)

Marker S2 R is a stop sign.

Marker R L is a caution light.

The green Cone and post are also animated.

After placing them down, drive around and see what happens.
-You need to move towards or away from the objects. No movement = No Animation.

The /msg command is also bugged, on any server you can do the /echo command and it will display a message from the dedi server. ( Can be really funny)

eg

There's joe and bob, both non admin. Bob can go /echo joe : Im the best at Driving who wants to race me.

and it wiil display it as

JOE : Im the best at Driving who wants to race me.
even though BOB is doing the typing.

you can use ^7 for colors which makes it easy to replicate others names.

A good one that made me crack up is /echo ^5JOE has logged in as Admin.

Hey, I had this problem aswell.

FIX: LFS>OPTIONS>CONTROLS AXIS- Pull the e-brake ALL the way back, While holding it on, Click The "C" (centre) button on the axis you use for E-Brake.

Should be done

The ebrake applying itself when you stop..Thats a lil funny
