Quote from X-Ter :

Why drive only one sim, and why fight over witch one is best? Just drive them and make up your list of favourites like I have. If the sim you drive doesn't make you feel good, stop driving it and remove it from the harddrive. Simple as that.

That is exactly what we do in the Röugh Mätes team.

We are currently running a Multisimulator Racing League,
with races in LFS, GTR, NR2003, F1C and rF...
All in one league

We just can't decide on which we like the most

In case you have forgotten

On September 18th, 20:00 CET, the lights turn green in the first event of the Multi-simulator Racing League (MRL). This unique league is open for fair simulator racers competing on individual, team and/or nation level covering one or more simulators like F1 Challenge '99-'02, Nascar 2003, LFS S2, GTR and rFactor. There are still a few grid positions free, so this is a last call for more drivers to sign up! Do not hesitate too long, since the "first in, first served" rule is applied!

Question: What do Röugh Mätes, Swedish Racing Mates, Ahead Racing and Drivers Emporium have in common?
Answer: They all have participants in the Multi-simulator Racing League (look here)

-- FAQ --

Q: Do I have to drive all the sims?
A: No, you do not.
Q: Must I be a team member to apply?
A: No, you do not. Individual racers are just as welcome as team members! But if you join in as a team member, your team will compete in this league as well since the league point scoring concept is based upon individual drivers, teams and nations. I guess one may call it a Kinder Egg League - three wishes in one ! Each participant will compete on individual and nationality level, and some will compete on a team level as well.

very great tool, thank you very much

just a little question, the event field, do you have to edit that manually
or is there some command to write in it?

TIA

well, pcupgrade would be a waste since I'll get a brand new computer by christmas anyway.

I'm just asking because there isn't much difference when I turn down
resolution etc, and trying similar graphics in GTR runs much better...

But I think it's common for many racinggames that the starts are
troublesome, after a few laps the field are spread out, then it's much better

thanks again for your help, still the same though , but some tracks are better than other...

in msconfig I can see that those processes starts:

qttask quicktime I guess
nvcpl rundll32.exe, nvidia something?
nwiz.exe nvidia again?
services.exe in windows folder
rundll32.exe bluetooth something
nerocheck
zlclient zonelabs
nvmctray nvidia again?
ctfmon
profiler for saitek
fraps just fraps
msnmgr
adobe reader speed launch
certificate mover
microsoft office

I guess some of those could be shut down, while racing
once I tried to increase LFS priority, but that made no difference either

Thanks again!

thank you all

I have the latest drivers 77.77 and also 1 GB of RAM
I think I have a rather good idea on what is running on my
cpu, it's usually around 33 processes, mostly svchost.exe

and when running LFS in window I saw that LFS uses 80-93 %

I tested my computer at pcpitstop and it was not much wrong there,
nothing that would matter anyway...

It's just in the starts where this problem occur, and that makes it a big
problem of course...

A teammate has fps at 17 or so, with similar hardware,
and I guess many of you have better as well...

(in hotlap-mode it's above 60)

will the LFS-benchmark shed some light on this?

my current settings are
1024x768x32
and this pic:

minimum sleep is 1, I can't set it to 0

watching a multplayer was about 16 FPS at the back of a approx 8 car grid

I just tried a start in GTR and starting last with 16 cars
I had at least 25 FPS.

But I find it very strange that when I tried 640x480 in LFS
I still had the same low FPS and I have USER LOD down to 0.40
but no difference either

I don't have vsync on, and no AA or AF either

the power is plugged in....

I suspect the physics for 11 AI is rather tough too, maybe
that is one reason, I hope it won't be the same problem if I'm
in a multiplayerrace...

I would to hate to create a mess because of bad FPS...
FPS on the grid!

Hello!

Is there a way to increase the FPS when I'm on the Full A!-grid
(I usuallt start at the last place)
For the moment it's around 7 FPS so it makes the starts very difficult

In the race with no cars visible it gets up to 20 FPS or so...

I have tried a lot of different settings for graphics,
dither, User LOD, halftextures etc...

but it's no difference at all, not even changing to 800x600
will help...

My settings for the moment is 1024x768x16
and I have a Intel P4 2.2 Ghz and Geforce 6600GT

TIA
