Quote from Kristi :Lol, a 911 for a 19 year old. Imo that Lancer is a bit overkill already, but if you have a well-paid job, then why not. Maybe that's quite a cultural gap between the US and EU. Meanwhile I'm just sitting here and planning to get an NB MX5. You wouldn't even call that quarter-decent.

This. I'd like to add one more thing. If you have a stable well-paid job, because if you get fired you're in pretty deep shit.

Quote from DejaVu :It's not an Evo, just your average 4wd non turbo lancer :|

It still costs like 10 times more than an average 19 year old could afford, if (s)he could even afford a car at all.

Quote from tbofram :"new 2015 Lancerr" "it's a half decent car"

Sooo, what do you consider a decent car for a 19 year old if a brand new Lancer from the future (2015) is only half decent?

I wanted to do a UF1 skin, but the template on Master Skinnerz is marked as "x" which means it requires an update. Can anyone say what isn't up to date on the template or will it work just as fine?
Or if anyone has an up to date UF1 template, can you post it here?

E: I managed to find one, I hope it will work.

And I recently released my own crazy brick breaking game : http://melerski.itch.io/optical-ball

video:http://vimeo.com/108042062

Your game is really weird. What he asked for was a "3D" classic brick breaking game (3D meaning that blocks can be stacked, so you have more than one in height), and he isn't used to this. It has a lot of potential for people who like different type of brick breaking games, but unfortunately it's not my brothers "cup of tea".

LONG:
So, my brother is looking for a brick breaking game to play. These seem to be really hard or impossible to find, but I hope some of you had luck of finding them if you ever even looked for them. He's playing alpha ball at the moment but he's getting sick of it so he's looking for something new to kill his time when not working. If you know any, feel free to reply. The newer the better.

SHORT:
Type a brick breaking game you played and you think is decent. The newer the better.

I opened it. There was no dust inside. There is only one fan and it is working.

Well, I have raised my laptop so it has more space for air intake, but it doesn't help much. A friend also borrowed me his laptop cooler and it only worked if laptop was at least 3cm above the cooler, it had no effect when the laptop was sitting on it or when it was just slightly above the cooler. That's why I'd like to put some larger fans to get air all over the thing.
A friend of mine also has a laptop similar to mine (mine is a HP g7, hers is a g6, the difference is in the CPU and the laptop size) and she also had cooling problems but her fan died and when she got it replaced the laptop started working like a charm, but I do not have enough money to do it right now so I'm trying different solutions.

E: The biggest problem is that the laptop has no passive cooling at all. I was thinking of buying one if it exist and putting it inside the laptop, but I'm not sure if anyone even makes these since the laptop originally doesn't have one.

EE: And thanks for the info about the fans.

Powering PC fans without a PC

So, here's what I'd like to do. I'd like to run a few PC fans to cool down my laptop, because it's a HP and its cooling sucks (actually it doesn't, my laptop would be cool if it would suck). I need to power them somehow obviously, and since they require 12V and USB is only 5V, my dad, who is an electrician says it wouldn't be smart to hook them up to a USB.

I do have an old 300W PSU which has been sitting since the birth of Jesus so I'm not sure does it work, but it was in the box all the time and it was replaced for being too weak and not for dying so it should work.

My question here is, would it be possible and safe to run fans with that PSU, considering that I somehow have to override the power on mechanism and the fact that there won't be a PC hooked to it? Oh, and I guess it would only use as much power as the fans use?

Quote from dawesdust_12 :Look at Android before and after the iPhone announcement. After, try telling me that Android wasn't an attempt to copy iOS. It's far too coincidental that before iPhone, Android was looking like a Blackberry clone.

What kind of drugs are you using? I'd really like to try some.

Talking about crap cars and pedals, try driving a YUGO if you have a chance, you'll learn to appreciate any car you have, no matter how crappy it might be.
Let me describe you the joy of driving one. (I don't own a YUGO, a friend let me drive one.) When you press the clutch you can't shift gears, then you realise that you have to push as powerful as you can to push the clutch to the end. Then you have to find a gear, so if you want to shift at lower revs chances are that the speed will drop so much you will just shift in the gear you were in before. The throttle is spiky as f!"#. You can't press it without the car bouncing like hell. Maybe it's because it's a lot lighter than other pedals so I pressed it too hard. And last but not least, the brake pedal. If you want to stop from 40 (kmh, not mph) to 0 in less than a kilometer, you have to push the pedal all the way to the end, which also means that you'll get quite a workout.

So, I had an accident 2 weeks ago. It wasn't my fault, so the insurance covers for the damages. But, there are some issues I'd like to ask you guys about it, I guess some of you had to "fight" with the insurance before.
So, they won't pay for new parts, but they want everything repaired (except for the headlights that have to be bought new). They also want me to pay part of the price for a headlight that has been repaired before. What if I get in a crash again? Will they be like, this has been repaired and you have to pay a part of the price and if yes, is there a way to avoid it?
Second, should insurance pay for a replacement car and for all the expenses of driving my car to the service and going back? (It's 16km of city driving and 16km of taxi fares, which isn't that much money, but still, I wouldn't have to spend that if I didn't have the accident.)
And one more thing: as I'm here only for uni, I will either have to make a double trip or stay here for a week or two longer because the insurance still hasn't delivered the police report to the service. Do they cover any of those expenses?

It looks a bit worse in RL then on the images, you just can't see all the damage here. There's also some damage under the hood (engine and cooling are okay).

About the fuel consumption when in gear and when idle. My fathers Citroen C4 still shows some fuel consumption when driving downhill in a gear. I think it's around 1L/100kn (which seems pretty much actually) at ~60km/h.

Also, another question from me. Why does the fuel consumption increase when you put it in neutral then press clutch? It's around 0.5L/100km higher then when it is only in neutral without pressing the clutch.

It's simple, get a better antenna for your PC/laptop. My dad has a laptop and his in-built antenna died. He bough one for ~12€ I think (You could probably get a much better one for the same amount of money... Shit's exspensive here in Croatia), and it has a range of almost 100m (It's an approx based on the visible networks).

Quote from Racer X NZ :Oh yes, your so right......

Cuz no business ever has commercially sensitive information they don't want to publicly share with their competitors.............

Crawl back into your shell and try to leave grown up conversations to grown up's.
Your collective ignorance never manages to suprise me for some strange reason.

TL;DR, Phuq giving US companies all our private business info !

I see you are in a mood to argue. Well, let me tell you something... If you are so concerned about NSA spying on some certain people and not stuff that is more serious, like high unemployment rates, or deforestation (which is actually a pretty serious thing), or slavery (not in the workplace, but real slavery) and abuse of a high percentage of workers around the world, then you are a pretty f***ed up person.
Now go and talk to the "grown-ups" about how you were ashamed to fap in front of your webcam because you were afraid somebody from the NSA spied on you. (sorry for sounding similar to you with this, Crashgate, hope you won't get mad )
