Is that a while you wait on your driveway job or a take the wheels away to the workshop job?
If you want a higher quality finish I'd recommend the latter, but if you find a reputable company (i.e. not some bodger) they should still do a reasonably good job with the equipment in the back of their van.
Every league/event has to start somewhere. Just check out the 2008 Kyoto 250 replay for epic lolz. Even after about 2 or 3 total restarts there were still many accidents of truly epic proportions.
Made a quick LX interior today, after deciding my previous MG one was a bit naff, and the default one didn't really cut it in terms of quality.
This interior gives you a new leather dashboard, side panels, centre console, seats and gear lever gator, new high resolution (and coloured) switches as well as new carpets.
Because of the LX Edition badges on the carpets and dashboard I have done right hand drive and left hand drive versions so the badges appear correctly (not flipped).
The following files are included
LX_Interior2.dds
LX_Seat.dds
gator.dds
Extract files and place in LFS/data/dds - back up your original files first!
I'm not a fan of Daytona MK myself, and it can be pretty dodgy in the wet at times. I've been there about 7 times now and not once have I driven that track in the dry
I'm doing DMAX at the moment, and whilst it's perhaps not the most perfect or best organised rental kart championship there is, it's been good fun. The guys running it are always polite and helpful, and the Daytona CEO, Jim Graham is always standing in the centre of the track coordinating proceedings and generally watching out for any bad behaviour on track. Last round was at Whilton Mill... realised that I was consistently faster round the track than the championship leader (who is generally pretty rapid), which was interesting .
You'll get faster with more time driving the karts. I found the first few times I ever did it I was concentrating more on improving my control of the kart rather than trying to race with anybody, so where I finished was essentially a lucky dip
