Following the advice you made and some other stuff, did some progress on this mod.

-Working Mirrors
-Working Lights
-Working Shift Light
-Brake rotors and Calipers
-New Skin
-Updated existing skin
-3D engine mapping complete

If someone can help me, i would like to allow color sliders on the car body like original LFS cars, and i have no clue how to do it. tnx in advance.

The openend engine hatch for cooling is a nice touch. (Like on NSU Prinz.) Does that work okay with the collision model? Also perhaps have it as option how far it is openend. (like the roof/cabrio setting of some LFS cars) Might make it look more varied if there is a grid of cars.

Both are great ideas, i ll for sure rotate the RPM, tnx for the advice!
The engine hatch open must be there but i ll try something i seen in the rear class!

Hello, im making my first mod for LFS, it was an old mod i started in 2007 for another simulation but never ended, since i didnt like that sim so much. Now with this fresh air in LFS i knew it was the moment to get it going again.

Is there any way to export or "render" the uv map wireframe to make better skins in our mods? i did wrap my car in the editor but i would like to have wireframe exported to make complex skins. tnx in advance

Hello, im trying to make my first mod like most of us are, i watched all vids but didnt find the way to use object layers.
I had import and obj exported in 3ds, worked great, but i want to keep adding new sub objects such as interior, wing, etc... is it possible to build the model in parts? not exporting all at once?

As soon i import new .obj replace the existing one, and even if i select new layer it wont avoide this problem. I seen others using the layers but cant find the way myself.

share progress so far in the test mod im making... its an old 3d model just to get used to the LFS Editor.

i think that LFS sound in general (not only the engine) is very clean... an important part of sounds in the car is the effect of the suspensions and the tires hitting the tarmac in the track faliures or in the crubs. i dont know how hard could be this for the devs but i would like to have this in the future.
another thing that could help in the inmersion and speed sensation are the particles hitting on the casis and wheel holes.
Maybe on GTR cars (lite and pro) could be certain to add some incar sound like the jail working and touching another parts of the car durnig big turns or downhills (but knowing Scawen`s style this ll be just allow if the sim emulate the body tortion).

dont missunerstandme, this are ideas for the future, but anyway i think that ll help to have a less clean sound in lfs.

Hey mate im not agree with some of your coments about the cars, but well it your point of view, but in the case of XRT, u are messing for so long starting in your video coz that is an RX7, as most of mortal people knows rx7 use rotary engine, and as most of lfs mortals know XRT dont. point two is about the "gear whine" problem that u say. imho thats not the problem, i cant even notice a fail in that point, the thing in the xrt is the turbo that i almost cant hear, same with blow off. that in things that i "cant" hear. in the things that i can hear, the problem is that revs dont feet with the sound, and i cant feel the engine "effort" trought the sound.

i would like to have a bigger gamma of souds as u30, now cars sound pretty much the same in most of cars, atleast for street ones.

finally im agree Meanie, dont know if the sound of tires are that bad in the onboard cam but i need to be able to hear them as before or even more (much more) and more treble.

i been reading all post, and i have a feeling. i think that people like Dan, likes FXO and likes to win easy so they dont really have a problem with the TBO, coz if u are serius, u cant say that easly driving makes 2 secs around of diference in a WR.

Personally im racing TBO championship, (LFSLA.NET) in latin-america, the 3 cars are aviable to chose, but FXO ll use passanger (front passanger).

we are more than 40 racers in the league, and guess what.... 4 xrt and 3 RB4. (remember, FXO is goint with passanger). Im XRT driver, im fighting the 4th place in the champ, but the diference is: my best place is 4th, and i`v beated 2 WR`s INRACE!, and all races i go about 2 - 3 dec of WR (best lap). I never had a pole or faster lap, pass a FXO is almost impossible and any mistakes is 3x expensive in XRT, i never crash or go to grass bad in the races and still cant get a podium.
My point is, i allways race my LOVELY RWD but i already know than i cant win the races, being some of the fasters in that track/car and racing against cars with passanger.
My tires die faster, my fuel usage is equal than FXO+passanger, my damage and mistakes are expensive (in time terms).

I hope u get the point, is the way to proof that TBO is unbalanced

i really want a more balanced TBO, wider tires, weight, and less effective FWD system could help, and maybe FIX the differentials problem, be pulled to use locked on XRT is baaaaaaaaad.

i forgot to say: in last date of championship PB`s where:
FXO+Passanger best time: 1:52:32
XRT Best time: 1:53:37 - XRT WR: 1:53:08

¿u still think that 8k makes a difference?

Hey buds, i did my own mclaren too, i saw very good effects, that sky idea was pretty nice. Personally, i tried to emulate the light concentration most as was possible, i hope u like it

mm i belive that patch is already finished and tested. reasons: LFS devs are serius people, so they wont promess a pic each day if they dont know how many days left to patch out. and they said a last date, end of april, if they finish patch.. hmmm tomorrow, test and find a big bug, thats not so good, i doubt that :P

i think they are giving us some kind of fun with this "detective patch" :P

i think nK namie is a very good game, we should think it in the time when it was done, thats coz nKp was that promising, i tought in preorder it coz i really had a respect about namie, but i feel that nKp never improved in physic way. The man who did the graphics did a very good work, but the other guys just looked and say... "oh that looks fine" once he finished the work they re-launched the namie (who has less crashes) like it was finished.
That is sad coz they hurry too much, and thats coz lfs is way better, they take time and make the things very good.

About the update pic of today, i think its nice if the friendship is with BMW coz they probbly license some M5 or Z4 alpina, but thats coz im not a OW fan, if u are OW fan this is a very good surprize, but not for me

anyway tnx devs, u are working so good, keep like it
