There was a website I was browsing awhile ago that sold Dell replacement power supplies (not from Dell) for pretty cheap prices and up to 550W .

Quote from jamesrowe :Also the software can make it unstable! If you are running Windows then its UNSTABLE

LOL, like I said, run Prime95 for a little bit (6 hours should be fine if you use it for daily use) running the torture test called blend (It tests CPU and RAM to the max). If your computer passes that then it is definately not the CPU or RAM that is the problem.

One question, is your processor dual core?

Get the E6300 and overclock it. These can easily hit 3 Ghz with good cooling and RAM.

If you are really that worried, you are better off waiting anyway, as prices will always go down, so whether you need an upgrade for S2 Final or not, you will save money by waiting for it. I don't beleive much will change, if your rig runs it fine now, then you shouldn't have a problem with S2 Final.

Good Luck trying to find some pedals, might want to check some sites like Ebay if you can't find anyone on the forums selling them.

Uninstall your current drivers and restart the computer. Then download and run Driver Cleaner, selecting the ATI setting. Then install your new drivers.

The air cooler everyone is talking about now (for the Core2Duo) is the Tuniq Tower. It is not really expensive (Here is one at OcUK) and can get you some very high clocks. Many hit 3Ghz easy (Some up to 3.6 on air) with a setup similar to yours without producing too much noise. The only problem might be finding one in stock as they sell out pretty quickly, should just take a quick look around though.

Otherwise, you picked a very good selection of parts, you will definitely be happy with the performance, C2D's are amazing at the moment.

There is definately something wrong and one guess is that your graphics card is not working properly. Uninstall your Nvidia drivers and restart the computer and then use a program like driver cleaner to clean the nvidia drivers completely. Then install the 92.91 drivers (known to be the best drivers for the 6 series) from Nvidia.

This will rule out faulty graphics card drivers.

EDIT: By the way, the information you provided is very helpful, usually we have nothing to work with .

Dell makes great LCD's (one of the only things they do really well) and they are prefered by many of the techies.

If you can run Prime95 for 24h straight using the Stress Test called blend, it is stable .

The PS3 isn't a computer cpu so the game probably won't run.

Quote from lambchop44 :Ok, MS actually suggested adding the /usepmtimer
I did that. No difference... except maybe worse.

Now I quickly went to the task manager when it got bad and the svchost.exe was using 80% of my cpu. What's up with that?
And there's 7 instances of svchost.exe running at the same time.

This might help you out a little

They are just naturally loud when you turn them fast, nothing you can really do except try wrapping it in insulation. It is just a drawback of having force feedback really .

Quote from dropin_biking :Lol, I don't mean to sound arragant or harsh toward people, but the fact is, they are wrong, and think they are right. Doesn't it just bug the hell out of you when somebody hates something because its not the norm? or because they don't know how to use it properly?

Agreed, that is why we play LFS . Now hurry up and buy S2, it's the best purchase you will ever make .

No, he is asking how do I get that car, and how do I get the car to work online. Why would he be asking how to get the car and how to use it online if he already has it. He would have asked how would I use it online.

You guys need to look deeper instead of jumping on peoples a**es..

Dirt/small oval track racing with modifieds and late models is awsome to watch. Most of them do it for the fans and on the offdays they sometimes have demo derbies, burnout contests, trailer races, chain races, bus demos etc.

Worth a try but the latest S1 is probably the best.

Patch V will probably be almost the same as the last test patch before it. I might do a clean install to try to keep the clutter free though you probably won't need to anyway. I would still recommend installing Patch V as it will probably be the most stable.

Maybe you should try a different chair in your house. The strain is probably being caused from the swimming and the racing at night is just making it worse, try and see if you can find a comfortable chair that won't hurt your back and you should be good.

Yah, don't forget to set the clutch to axis instead of button, that is probably your problem
