Quote from Eclipsed :Before race I was sceptic even to qualify for this one,as Blackwood is one of my least favourite tracks and the competition is much stronger then last year,I would dare to say it's even twice as strong. Managed to set a decent PB in qualifying, but in one of last pits I checked tracker and saw P31 for me. But with last try pulled out better lap and qualified myself for race.
In race I had one of the best starts I ever had (most likely because of low fuel load),avoided mess and climbed up to 14th place, entered pits in lap 20 even in 13th place. The rest of the race was just trying to preserve current position. Most unlucky moment was under caution, when leader left pits just ahead of me,securing that I will be lap down unlike every one ahead. Last 20 laps were more like running away from Ben,I knew his situation and I knew it was for position, but later my tyres started to fade together with my concentration, while Ben was picking up pace, logically I lost 17th and finished the race right behind winner...

That was a fun chase, man. Good job holding it together as long as you did... it's hard to keep concentration in these long races with this twitchy of a car. I just had you as a rabbit to keep my mind on task. As soon as I passed you I lost all my concentration, tbh.

Quote from Bmxtwins :Wow, I wasn't even in that race and still managed to do something wrong.

That being said, I think Rony needs to learn how to heed blue flags too . It wasn't just Remco, many others had no regard for blue flags either. Car 69 was wrecked by car 33 after passing him while car 33 was blue flagged.

So if we just want to pick on LLM guys, that is fine. But even others do the same thing.

If this was Bernat in the chicane, I drafted back by him on the straight and had the preferred line into the corner. He chose to try to make it 2-wide, which was a bad idea.

I had indeed gone a lap down by making an early stop, but if not for the SC I could have cycled back up to the "lead" pack. I was not obliged to stop racing in that case.

Sorry for the contact in any case (I asked Nathan to apologize for me after the race), but I think the weight of blame in that particular incident wasn't on me.

Quote from Scawen :This is kind of the general idea of the Westhill update. The International course you would clearly recognise as the old course, though the corners (and consequently, the positions of straights) are adjusted quite a bit in some places (actually it's completely rebuilt but based on the old one). Then the new National course bears off to the left after the first right and left bends, has an infield part and rejoins the International track near the start of the back straight.

This is my impression, from memory, though I have been working hard lately so have not become an expert on the new track. I'm not a great sim racer anyway but I'm just giving my thoughts, the way I see it.

This is totally fine with me, and I appreciate that it's a more realistic approach to circuit evolution. But one of the advantages of sim racing over real racing is that you can race tracks that no longer exist in the real world, so why shouldn't that advantage extend to fictional tracks that "no longer exist"?

Of course, there's only one Eric in the LFS dev team and his skills can probably be put to better use than graphically updating an out-of-date track.

Quote from PMD9409 :BES has 24 Hours of Spa in it, we just added 6 hour races instead of 3, and the likes of Suzuka and Bathurst to see who can truly survive. It's going to be a tough season, but we all know that's what Masters of Endurance is about.

Just wish it was happening in a sim I could stand.

Quote from PMD9409 :So Eric should be upset because we would like to be able to drive both of his pieces of work, and not just one of them?

If anything, you'd be asking for less, as it takes more time to remove something then to not touch it at all.

Eh, personally I'd like to have the old layout of Westhill updated to the new graphical standard, plus the new layout. (A bit like modern Monza + Monza '66 in Assetto Corsa.) Nothing wrong with being a demanding consumer.

(Not that I'm going to throw a fit when I don't get what I want.)

Quote from Fordman :I don't have to upload it to the server. the name is, and should be honda_civic as that is what it is named on my PC ?

I haven't released the password yet HA HA

Fordie

PS - Just updated the password in the other post, but I won't be around until later on, need to finish my lads room (painting) LOL

When you unzip the civic the folder is called honda_civic_gra. That's what it is on every other server using the car, as well.

edit: I also get Server Error Code 0 when trying to connect.

Quote from troy :If you plan to get this going give me a shout and I'll add it as an event in the LFS AC group on steam, everybody should get a message on event start then, maybe we'll get some random joiners.

I'd be down, but it'll be late night for you guys by the time I get home.

I think most people who buy Priuses (in the US, anyway) do it for gas savings $$$ reasons.

This Champ Car 2014 website is like some bizarre look into an alternate reality. There are full race reports for races that never happened.

Champ Car hasn't existed for the better part of a decade. Not sure why they still have a website or a 2014 schedule...

Just wanna say I've always been pro-Westhill, particularly in the faster cars. Hair-raising in the FO8.

I mean, this proves why you should never try to confront a multi-ton hunk of metal that's coming at you at high speed.

But that said, Tony's in trouble.

All tracks are fantasy tracks until they're built.

So far, these are the ones I think are worth downloading:

Gentrack1
Brno
Salzburgring (has a weird bug @ pitlane exit tho)
Golf Course
Castle Hill
Prato
Aosta Grand Sport

New Brands ain't bad either.

Yeah, you've made that very clear.

Personally, idgaf how ugly a track might look as long as it drives well, and that track drives very, very well.

Quote from Mustafur :I think regardless of what you think there is a reasonable case(taking hard evidence aside) that its a possibility.

It would certianly come across as such if you explained how she got there.

To sexist people, yeah.
