To make it funnier and more entertaining. Battling a whole lap with dirt tyres can be hard.

He wen't off at 213kph and he was reporting issues with the rear tyres in lap 36, you can see that in the Marussia's tweet feed. Maybe he just lost control, probably we'll never know :/

So we should not believe an organization that devotes its time to brain and spinal cords injuries? We're not talking about answers or stuff we found on yahoo answers or wikipedia.

Marussia´s today statement.

"MEDIA INFORMATION │ 7 October 2014
A Statement from the family of Jules Bianchi

Yokkaichi, Japan
7 October 2014, 23.00hrs local/15.00hrs BST

The following statement is provided by the family of Jules Bianchi, in conjunction with the Mie General Medical Center, and is distributed on their behalf by the Marussia F1 Team.

“This is a very difficult time for our family, but the messages of support and affection for Jules from all over the world have been a source of great comfort to us. We would like to express our sincere appreciation.

Jules remains in the Intensive Care Unit of the Mie General Medical Center in Yokkaichi. He has suffered a diffuse axonal injury and is in a critical but stable condition. The medical professionals at the hospital are providing the very best treatment and care and we are grateful for everything they have done for Jules since his accident.

We are also grateful for the presence of Professor Gerard Saillant, President of the FIA Medical Commission, and Professor Alessandro Frati, Neurosurgeon of the University of Rome La Sapienza, who has travelled to Japan at the request of Scuderia Ferrari. They arrived at the hospital today and met with the medical personnel responsible for Jules’ treatment, in order to be fully informed of his clinical status so that they are able to advise the family. Professors Saillant and Frati acknowledge the excellent care being provided by the Mie General Medical Center and would like to thank their Japanese colleagues.

The hospital will continue to monitor and treat Jules and further medical updates will be provided when appropriate.”"

I googled Diffuse Axonal Injury and found this:
About 90% of survivors with severe diffuse axonal injury remain unconscious. The 10% that regain consciousness are often severely impaired.

Quote from tristancliffe :The helicopter flew. But th hospital they wanted to go to doesn't have facilities to accept helicopters apparently. Some people have said the pressure change at altitude would be too much, but the difference at 500-1000ft is negligible.

There's an account on twitter called formerf1_doc or something like that, he points out that the pressure of the altitude would have been important since the head injury was bad.

Barcelona is great, the nightlife is really crazy, and Rome too, if you take the tours and like history I'd recommend Rome, never been to London so I don't really know. You should also go to Germany, been to Munich and Berlin and they are awesome. But If you have limited time and don't want to spend so much I'd recommend Hungary, Prague, and some of the Eastern Europe countries who are very beautiful and worth it, 2 or 3 days in each and you are fine, and they are cheap compared to Barcelona that is quite expensive.

Don't let the SC out maybe, the leader marks the pace of 120kph or something like that for the time the recovery tractor does the job and then the race may restart, it was an awful accident, there's really no one to blame, but if there was someone I must say that the race directors or the ones that make the decisions in the races of how to move the marshals and that stuff.

Quote from tristancliffe :I hope we don't go down the American route of neutralising the race every time there is any risk. .

Like in the German race? I think, I really don't remember but there was a race where 1 car spun and the SC was out, I really think that the Race Director has some lack of common sense.

I have watched, for example the HPD at COTA, guys hitting 1:51s and I'm stuck at high 1:57s, I can't improve after mimicking the behaviour of the WR. Maybe I need to do 500 laps.

Quote from Kristi :A1 Ring with 370z, and missing each and every braking point even after 4 laps in a row. There is no excuse for that These guys aren't newbies to the game, are they?

Maybe to the track, as the track was just an addition not long ago.

Quote from Kristi :Wow, I just skipped through a few of the driving parts, but god those players suck. These people are supposed to represent the best of their region and they are missing nearly every braking point and can't find a grip. It wasn't even a random car.

I think most of them don't play anything apart from GT6 so they won't know how to react when they change them the conditions, rain for example.

I don't know why but in LFS I can be 1 second off a WR but in iRacing can't go near 5 seconds of a good laptime, I just don't get that game.

Quote from boothy :There's now two setups for Laguna Seca in the setup shop: http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3255180.page You could also use one for another track that you think might suit, and go from there.

Thank you, I did for the first two days but it was shit.

It gives a lot of insight, you know when a guy is having no brakes and has 2 redbulls in his back trying to hold them, like Perez in Canada; we wouldnt know if we had that rule imposed.

Why people do not share setups here? It's a pain in the ass when you are new to a series and there's only 1 setup till the end of the week, when the track changes.
