Take the Logitech. Believe me don't take any other wheel. Even if it would die faster, Logitech's support is the best of all brands i know. I've read a lot of complaints about different brands, but about Logitech i didn't really read much. I have a DFP myself, works great and after a few years hardcore drifting it starts dieing. I emailed the logitech support and they gave me a reasonable offer back. Most of the time your emails will be answered in one day. Never look only at the wheel itself, always check the manufacture's support too.
I really don't understand that you guys are still whining. Nobody says you HAVE TO replace the G25 with a G27. If you want sequential, fine, keep your G25. If you want a silence wheel with more realistic FFB go for the G27. You can whine what you want, but the G27 is already on it's way to the stores as mentioned before, so they can't change anything.
Little bump on this topic. The idea isn't to bad For example look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ws8hYmtLTwM I used this as an example for my clutch pedal. Just remake everything in wood like i did:
Succes with yours
I actually agree with TS. Half of LFS is drifter, and there could easily be some improvements for drifting. You can't actually control high angle drifts because it has only 36 degrees of steering. IRL they have around 60 degrees. Also power upgrades could be done. Power upgrades are not NFS(like most grippers call it) and are done in real life too, also for grippers.
@Nightshift: If you read my last post good, you would have read that the DFP has only 1 FFB motor, so it hasn't got the power to lock it at 7oo degrees.
@Others: I think like a quarter of the people that play LFS are drifters, so why not? I think it would only attract more people to the game.
Well, the new Nissan GTR has fully custumizable things e.g the steerinbg lock. You can adjust it as you want.
Another thing i forgot what needs improvement is the steering wheel support. I am driving a DFP with LFS and it works fine, but there is the button that says wheel turns 720 degrees but im driving with 900. This means that if i am at 720, my wheels stop turning and my DFP doesn't. As some know, the DFP has one single FFB motor, so changing the wheel to 720 isn't an option.
I would like to see more steering lock. I am a drifter and to get high abgles, 36 lock isn't enough. I tried the Value mod, but it's not useable when drifting online. So please add some more lock, like 48.
If i have more ideas, i will come back at this thread.
