Quote from Mustangman759 :noob question:

Packet per second only is for the host to set correct, or can i set it in my local LFS options to reduce choppiness?

server-side.

Quote from Dygear :So no one want's to go over to 0.6A1? That's odd, usually people scramble to get the new patch.

they might be waiting for airio to be updated to support some new insim packets.

these options are just wrong...

8gb ddr3 with win7 home basic, or 4gb ddr2 with win7 home premium.

is 14.70 even possible?

this one will do 15.60. i wouldn't call it realistic though.

edit: try #2, it will do a 15.40...

Quote from DANIEL-CRO :hacker on 0.6A1 server (demo) username "krup"

disgusting.

on a side note, what's he driving on that's causing the scraping and skidding sounds?

Quote :Well, you would imagine that a normal car would stay at the same speed. As it did when I drove over it at a safe speed and then accelerated in a higher gear. The episode of Mythbusters you are thinking of is "Driving faster on a bumpy road makes a less bumpy ride"

rough road driving, yeah that was it. i thought they had better footage of going over the corrugated road, but you only see a section after they've hit it... i was looking for the initial hit to see how much the rear wheels lift up when they hit the bumps. ah well.

edit: but they probably shouldn't cause moon bounce.

Quote from azasmith14 :If you watch his original replay. Press Esc, then Test Drive. You can drive his setup etc, I can confirm that if you go over them whilst hard accelerating in (almost) any gear. You do indeed get progressively faster.

i'm not debating that, i'm just saying it's not suspension damage that causes the OOS.

whether or not a real car would do the same, i'm not sure. i vaguely remember something that the mythbusters did that was similar, i'm going to go through my pvr.

Quote from Squelch :The speedup seems to happen when the shocks are destroyed.

i ran over them a few times in the xrg with the rallycross setup, and it didn't damage my suspension... and that was going full tilt too.

i'd show you, but my replay also OOSes a few bumps in.

edit: one thing i noticed while watching replays. if the replay does OOS, you can move the camera around, but you can't rotate or pitch it.

Quote from [Audi TT] :bug track au2

old bugs, been around for ages.

scawen, a question about the drag and drop functionality of replays... why can't i drop them into the lfs window to play them? i have to back out to the lobby and the desktop, and then drag the replay to the exe... can that be made easier?

no more multiclass... i'm tired of being forced to drive XRG while some jerkoff in a FZR rams everyone off the road.

does that stuff still work if they upgraded the server to z34?

Quote from PhilS13 :10 years ago if you asked a dealer here why cars were so much cheaper in the states he'd look at you like you like you were some sort of retard and go : "duh it's the low canadian dollar value".

Now that USD=CAD nobody really saw the prices go any closer to what we see south of the border and that includes EVERYTHING not just cars.

At this point I gotta assume most canadians are either too dumb to realize they're getting screwed on a national level or they just like it.

having to pay for a passport, having your car torn apart at the border, and the fuel to drive to and from the states makes up for any possible price breaks you might get by buying stuff over there.

canada has speed limits on bikes too, pedal, motor (duh), or electric.

i've actually never seen it enforced though. where i live is a perfect candidate for it too... my city is situated on an escarpment, so there are several roads connecting the up with the down. long roads, some twisting around the curvature of the escarpment, but one of them is part bridge, and is at a constant angle for quite some distance. on top of that, at the bottom of that section, the ground elevation continues to drop for quite a few blocks. if traffic is light enough, you could theoretically pick up a lot of speed. how much, i don't know, but i know i wouldn't drive a car at those speeds down that same stretch of road.

I once read something about improved AI.

Any chance to have that anywhere soon?

Thanks for working so hard!

they should get better with the tire update because they should be able to judge the tires better... i think that's what i read some months ago.

Quote from PLAYAPIMP :The fans are on and they sound like jet engines. Im going to take off the cover and check it out later.

sounds like a lack of airflow. laptops are notorious for that. giving the vents plenty of space is the only thing you can do in that instance, aside from buying one of those cooling mats that forces its own air into the vents.

do the fans still work? also, if there are vents there, you might want to lift up the bottom, to improve air flow.

dude, just let it go. as a former moderator for a high-ranking forum, i know these guys can get you pretty miffed because of how they moderate (or lackings thereof). but the fact is, they can't be bothered to change their status quo, so it's better to just leave it alone.

Quote from P5YcHoM4N :I'm not sure why a Sheriff in the article was surprised by Ford discontinuing the Crown Vic though. They announced back in '08 (maybe earlier) they were going to stop selling the Crown Vic to anyone but fleet buyers (taxi firms and law enforcement) everyone else having to buy it's posher Lincoln sister and the Vic would follow some years later after Ford made a suitable alternative.

but everyone started buying the impala instead.
