Quote from wheel4hummer :If someone can learn scripting fast, then feel free to make a better script than me! I just used this: http://www.autohotkey.com/ to make the keys go on and off. Using that program, it is also possible to popup message boxes and get key inputs so that when you press one key the lights flash on and off, if you need to pass someone, and when you press another key...I dunno...

Excellent find!

Neat add-on. You may want to pause it at start-up though, because if you happen to have the exe in a directory which contains files or folders starting with "g", windows will just cycle through those very quickly. Maybe it'd also be possible to check which window is currently active and send the keystrokes only if LFS is on top. It might also interfere with instant messengers and the like.

Quote from BrandoonWa :Anyone else having trouble getting these to work? My car disappears when I use anything but the 350Z tweek preset.

You have to check if the tweak uses "," or "." as a decimal point, otherwise the values will be way off and LFS won't load the car. Open the .twk file with a text editor and if necessary, replace "," with ".".

Yes, LFSTweak only. No other mods.

The set I'm posting could be slightly different since I played around with it a bit after the 7.64, but it should still be good for like high 60's with the right launch. Be careful not to overrev the engine at the start.

Actually you're going from 90% to 100%. Just look at it this way: The cars in LFS are running on the 100% cam profile all the time.

Why would you want a smaller cam profile for <5000rpm if you're not even using that rev range while driving?

You're right, it doesn't, but I figure a V12 is close enough. The W16 has about the same dimensions as a V12, the output matches in terms of torque and power, and the weight distribution is correct, so basically only the sound is different.

I may need to fiddle with the engine specs a little since the redline could be higher, but at least its within the rules.

There are great sounding V8's, but stock exhaust Corvettes are nothing to write home about, at least not LSx-powered ones. They pretty much sound like any other V8.

VR6's on the other hand have a very unique sound that sets them apart from other 6-cyls. They produce a distinct deep resonance around like 4000rpm that you just don't get from regular V6's or I6's.

You can hear it in these videos right after the driver shifts:
http://www.blinkerfluid.net/video/corrado_vr6_sound.avi
http://www.blinkerfluid.net/video/GTI-VR6-235kmhr.avi

I assume a lot of this sound is down to the unequal length intake and exhaust runners of the VR6 head. There are 3 cyls with short intake and long exhaust runners and 3 cyls with long intake and short exhaust runners. So basically you have a 15° V6 with two different sounding cylinder banks, and I guess that would be difficult to replicate in LFS.
