Description
A classic British taxi from late 60s
South City Cab was a famous British taxi manufactured between 1958 and 1997. With its iconic design, faithful engines and an extraordinary steering angle, this car was ideal for navigation even through the narrowest streets of South City. Most cars had diesel engine with a 3-speed automatic. This mod represents a rare late 1960s model, equipped with 2.2 petrol engine and a 4-speed manual gearbox, which was the fastest option back in the day.
Realism note
Mod was designed to be as realistic as possible but unfortunately rear beam axle is not supported in the current LFS version and had to be approximated. The approximation using double wishbone is designed to follow camber changes of a real beam axle when cornering. Of course, the car is little easier to drive over bumps than IRL. For a realistic experience the force feedback should be set to 20 - 40 because of a cam and lever steering. Windshield wipers can be moved using the following command:
Making derivatives
The mod is a good base for some future hot rods. If you are going to make one, please add your own custom style and do not make sleepers.
