New era of LFS is has reached also our annual endurance race and we will make sure to use the benefits of the new version - of course we won't torture drivers with full night race, however race will be run under sunset (just like most years actually) and the last 1/3 of the race will be run under floodlights while the sky will be still a bit lit though. Another new addition we dare this year - we're going officially multiclass! Besides the usual LFS TBO class performance leveled PL200 class this year people can select also LFS GTi class performance leveled PL120N class which originally consists of 3 cars (more can be applied), while drivers may also apply entries with challenger status cars in case they have no ambitions for high position finishes and want to challenge the difficult 300 kilometer distance in their favourite car.

One element of the race has been kept same - the track itself. After running same version of the track for 2 consecutive years, 2026 brings a new updated version of Westschleife - a track that exceeds the 20 kilometers mark for the first time in event's history, which means the 300km distance requires just 15 laps! The new track actually gained a tick of average speed compared to previous version as it features couple more straights, but with growing track length also laptimes grew - 12 minutes will be the mark dividing better half of the entries from slower half in the top class. The PL120N class is expected to exceed 13 minutes per lap, top drivers might get very close to breaking that mark. This results in lapping as the faster class is expected to lap the slower class once during the race - that brings some strategy flexibility requirement for faster class as several track sections don't really suit for overtaking.

2 years ago we introduced the 24 hours qualifying, where all entries had plenty of time to set their times, giving lot's of flexibility, with help of J.Palmer and New Dimension Racing we will repeat this type of qualifying also this year - NDR will provide also live admining during the race.
