KingOfIce take a second consecutive win!

Monday 22nd September, it's only been 3 weeks since the last race, but here we are again, ready for the action! Indeed as the end of the season approaches, the schedule is starting to get thighter, and tonight we are here at Kyoto using the GP Long configuration, at which the FXR was the picked car for this round, sort of a very classic combo, as per previous round with the XFR at Fern Bay. And after a dramatic 3 weeks of pre-qualifications marked by the "cutting scandal", as per some drivers seemed to use some butchery methods on some corners to get faster times. The marshalls decided to let it go, but places a layout avoiding these shortcuts for the race. And it's the 2021 former champion, GUM's Meuh who signed the pole position, in front of his team mate and championship leader, KingOfIce. Rydh and JSK would make a full international second row, as the third and fourth row would be 100% FSR! Indeed, Kip was leading the FSR suite in front of DLV, System and Yorry, meanwhile Donald and Proxima were completing the top 10 out of a grid marked by 20 qualified drivers. Infortunately, at the start, we would see the missing of 3 drivers, as JSK, DLV and Geraxi would be missing on the grid.

At the start of the race, KingOfIce took the best of his team mate comingo into the first turn, meanwhile the top 8 stayed in the same position. Behind them, it was very eventful per the first turn action, without too much drama, despite we could have seen one at the starting grid, as FSR's returner M.Zenki missed his starting and almost stalled. Thankfully, his team mate Speedou just avoided the drama by a few centimeters! The Top 6 guys were doing their route without the gaps to be too big, meaning we would thought any driver from the top 6 would be candidate for the win. As Donald was sorta abandonned into 7th, behind him, Cyk and Proxima were fighting for the 8th, meanwhile Tomfuel took benefit of his good start to enters into the top 10. And behind, it's was a true FSR Team show, as the 2 returners Speedou (last race in 2019) and M.Zenki (last race in 2015) acompanied by another long date FSR Member ABricka, started to make their own battle show. Nanex eventually joined that party with them and then he escaped into 12th, while Zenki followed him. Later, LeManchot, that just got Tomfuel's P10, got himself caught into a crash and dropped off a couple a position. And that's exactly what happened a couple of seconds earlier to Yorry as he passed the chicane exiting the oval route, he ended up colliding with the right side kerbs, ending into a 90 degrees drift and making him drop into 9th. More in the front, the FSR pair Kip-System were starting to struggle into their own battle, leaving the top 3 alone into the win fight. And then System even passed Kip on the 6th lap.

As per we passed the mid race mark, it's Nanex who entered the top 10, as we would see Tomfuel starting to struggle. Cyk and Proxima continued their battle, this time it was Proxima who climbed into the 7th, in front of Yorry being their first row watcher, meanwhile a couple of corners later, Rydh got the best of Meuh! As the gaps started to be reduced on the top 3, the Swedish driver started to take more paying risks. And behind them, the FSR battle continued, with System and Kip, this time it was the dutch taking the best from his french boss for P4. Tomfuel infortunately continued his demontada after a mistake, dropping him into last position. With 2 laps to go before the end of the race, as the gaps remained thight into the top 3, we saw a new top 10 entering. Indeed, M.Zenki took the best from Nanex! The FSR driver, who already had a top 10 for his first race in 2015, could take his second top 10 in as much races! And a couple of seconds later, another changes happening! The P7 battle definitely turned into a 3 drivers party as Yorry joined it after enough watching, when Cyk got the best of Proxima into 7th, Yorry wanted to get a piece of Proxima too. Infortunately, the Bulgarian driver from FSR Team then faulted, and made it greedy, as then Proxima could avoid being involved into Yorry's own mistake. As we were entering the last lap, positions would still be undecise for the win, but also 4th place, 7th place, 10th place, and so on... If out of the top 10, ABricka was the only one to make the last lap's change, by passing Loopingz for 13th, in the rest of the grid, after a suspenseful last lap, KingOfIce took his second consecutive win! Rydh get the 2nd place, while Meuh finally get a well deserved podium this season! Kip held System in respect for 5th, meanwhile Donald got the 6th in his own world. Cyk held proxima for 7th, while Yorry finished furthermore in 9th. And it was M.Zenki who's the last beneficiary of the last spot into the top 10 for his return, 10 years after his last race! The whole grid of 17 drivers saw the checkered flag, and in the same lap than the winner!

At the championship's table, King extend his lead of one point despite the entry of the second joker, against Rydh. Behind them, Kip is starting to build a gap against Donald with a 3 points gap, which is 2 more than at the previous round. But he has to be careful as System is starting to look at his 4th place, as he reduced the gap to 2 points. Yorry and Proxima moves both ahead of DLV as the latter couldn't make it this round and the joker has been used as from one of his 2 worst rounds of this season, when his Bulgarian team mate made a great climb up into the 6th/ Cyk and Nanex are completing the top 10. On the team side, it's of course another round it doesnt change a lot in the top, GUM Garage and FSR Team both increase their score by 2 points, meaning the gap remain the same between both of them, while NFR Team remain a strong 3rd in front of Texas Driver and Team Winners. Next round will be also held 3 weeks later, October 13th, at Blackwood, this time with the return of a mod as the racers will be on the wheel of Flame_CZE's Radix P6.
