Monday 1st September in the evening at Fern Bay... For France and some others countries in the world, this day was marked as the return at school. But it was also the day that the french league picked up for its return after the summer break, for the second half of the season. The drivers were awaited on the Fern Bay Gold Reverse configuration. After around 3 weeks of pre-qualifications, that really has been more active on the last days before the end of it 2 hours before the race, KingOfIce made no surprises for the qualification and grabbed the pole position. Even less surprising to see Rydh with him on the first row. The second row was also a impressive one, as it was a full champion's row, indeed, returner Meuh was in front of his former rival, System. Kip was following in third row with Cyk, meanwhile Cyandic, Donald, Nanex and DLV were completing the top 10 out of 16 registered but 14 qualified drivers.

At the start, the top 4 took a gentle and respectful start following eachothers like a train. Behind them, Cyk took the best of Kip, but the dutch driver eventually claimed back his position a sector later. Donald and Proxima also took a great start, while it was the opposite for Cyandic and Nanex or DLV. After the second lap, the positions were already starting to settle, King was leading in front of Rydh and Meuh, System was 4th, holding his dutch team mate Kip. Previous winner of the 6th round, Donald wasn't too far in 6th in front of Cyk, Proxima, Nanex and LeManchot. At the 4th lap, Meuh made a costfull mistake, and behind him, System was sneaking like a fox targetting his food, and he took the opportunity to temporarily jump on the 3rd spot. A couple of seconds later, Cyandic entered the top 10 getting rid of LeManchot. In the middle, it seemed like we would have a 3 drivers battle for the 6th place between Donald, Cyk and Proxima. The latter continued his remontada into 7th, by passing Cyk. Some laps later, as Meuh was trying to clinch back his 3rd from System who was defending well, he saw Kip threatening his 4th position. And the dutch driver eventually passed him at the end of the 6th lap, offering System the opportunity to build a gap and breathe. Behind them, in the top 6 battle, Donald lost his precious, and even double sanction, as Proxima passed him, it's Cyk who took the opportunity a few meters laters to pass him, while Cyandic was continuing to climb back into the ranking by passing Nanex for 9th. And then, Meuh took back his 4th place, and started again to chase System. Before the mid race, while KingOfIce was extending his leading, the positions were stabilising again, excepted at the top 10 doors, where LeManchot took the P10 out of Nanex's hands. And after KingOfice set his fastest lap for this race that was set to be the fastest lap of the whole race, it was DLV's turn to enter the top 10. But infortunately, the FSR driver made a mistake a lap later, leaving LeManchot back into the top 10.

The positions then seemed again in a period of stability, but the actions wasn't lacking, and more especially that Rydh was starting to suffer, offering System the opportunity to close the gap on him, while Meuh also closed the gap on System. The battle for the 7th between Cyk and Donald looked promising too, as Proxima escaped in 6th with his regularity. Donald then passed Cyk a first time in lap 15th, but the frenchman claimed his position back quickly, until Donald passed him again in 17th lap. It's at that time the things heated up in the 2nd place's fight. Indeed, Rydh was starting to make more and more mistakes, and at the end of the 17th lap, he went for a wild ride leaving the penultimate corner, aka the infamous chicane, with a scary moment going into the grass not too far of the infamous Fern Bay ditch, and System didn't took any useless risk to pass, but leaving the last corner, the Swede and the French were side by side. Advantage was on the FSR Team's boss being on the inside for the next corner, and he eventually put the elbows out coming in the braking zone, but leaving the minimal space needed to his Team Winners opponent. And that's how System climbed into second, but it wasn't over, as Rydh, with the pressure of Meuh behind him, was perfectly holding System's pace. And what more spicy to be that a moment later, the trio met on his road a lost Papator that was suddenly struggling with his internet playing a party of hide and seek... His lag infortunately costed him a unavoidable contact with Meuh, and Papator ended crashing into the grass, and decided to gave up, to not cause more damages by his sudden lag. Fortunately for Meuh, it was without any effect on him. And then System started to show his true pace, gapping his two opponents, leaving them on a juicy fight for the 4th position. On the back of the top 10, Cyk dropped one more position to another "Cy" in the person of Cyandic who climbed into P8. The end of the race looked to be promising in term of action between Rydh and Meuh for the 3rd place! Later, KingOfIce then took the victory with a beautiful matress of 10 second gap ahead of System who claim the second place. And behind them, we still didn't know who would end third. And suddenly, out of nowhere, here comes Kip! The dutch driver pulled a impressive serie of laps while Rydh and Meuh were fighting hard, too hard that in the last corner, while they were both struggling into defending/fighting, Kip joined the battle out of nowhere! And on the straight, the Dutch driver had the best opportunity, and he scored the 3rd place, offering FSR Team a double podium! Rydh has to content himself into 4th while Meuh finish 5th in front of Donald. Proxima seemed to end 6th after a strong and consistant race at that position for the 3/4 of the race, but it wasn't the case, as the Belgian driver ran out of fuel in the last sector! By this way, Donald passed him to finish 6th, while Cyandic did the same for 7th and Cyk for 8th! Fortunately for Proxima, his team mate and boss Nanex who was a lap behind wasn't too far to offer him the help to reach the finish line, as the Belgian only needed a couple of meter in the main straight to finish his race, and that's how he luckily ended 9th. And what a crazy last lap! LeManchot was supposed to end in 10th, but a mistake mean he had to use a reset and got hit with a 30s penalty as it was the last lap, and offered DLV the last top 10 spot.

At the league's ranking after this 3rd round, KingOfIce now hold a gap of 3 points ahead of Rydh with 596 for the GUM Garage's versus 593 point for the team Winners'. Kip is now 3rd woth 581 points ahead of Donald with 580. System climb in 5th after his second consecutive podium and start to settle his position into the top 5 with 573 points as he built a gap of 20 points aead of his team mate DLV. Proxima, Cyk, Nanex and Tomfuel are ending the top 10. The actual top 16 is still eligible to the full season contention with the 3 jokers, but actually only 7 drivers did the full season (King, Rydh, Kip, System, DLV, Cyk and Tomfuel). On the team side, GUM Garage see the FSR Team reducing lightly the gap by 1 point as System's crew scored the most point this round. But Tomfuel's crew remain strongly in the lead with 1183 points versus 1164 for the FSR Team. For the 3rd place, NFR Team continue to build the gap ahead of Texas drivers with 1094 points for Nanex's crew, and 1043 for Papator's Texas Drivers. On the country's top 4, it's the same story as the driver ranking as France remain in the leadership in front of Sweden, Holland and Lituania. Belgium hold in 5th while Bulgaria and Australia are holding their breathe by using all their jokers!
Next round will be held in less than 3 weeks, the field will now move to Kyoto as the International track configuration will be used at the wheel of the FXR. We hope to see you here!
