Round 2

Sunday,27th June
17:30 UTC / 19:30 CET* / 20:30 EET*

* Summer time

The middle round brings the shortest,the richest with turns and also the slowest track of this 3 round series schedule - Lake Extended custom configuration at Rockingham,run in reversed (anti clockwise) direction. Most of the turns are left handed,but it's the lone long righthanded turn that could make a difference between good and great laptimes. There has not been a single race using this circuit,so we can only assume it might be difficult to pass here,so qualifying session is a tick more important.

First round showed few drivers who are better than the rest and have better chances of season long success than the rest,but can they addapt to a completely unknown track? Drivers championship of course is tight after just 1 round,but so is teams championship - this round will bring more clarity what's possible in season finale.

STARL returned to Rockingham also for this year's series and offered another very different course,the shortest in series history. After winning 1st round while starting just from 2nd row,Fatass came to this round as one of the main favourites for the title and did not dissapointed anyone betting money on his success - he was the fastest in qualifying and led every single lap during the race to pick up all 14 possible points from this round. Texas finished 2nd almost half a minute behind winner,barely getting back position he held for a big part of the race,Unite lost the battle for 2nd position late in race,but still not a bad result considering his start failure and need to rejoin the race.

After 2nd of 3 rounds things are way more clear now - 2 wins in 2 races puts Fatass in noticable lead,as he is 8 points clear of competition,which means he needs a top5 finish in final round to secure title without caring about results of his rivals. On the other hand Fatass has already secured Rookie of the Year title. Unite had 2 podium finishes and front row starts in both rounds,but with just one round ahead his chances are not so high anymore. The only other theoretical candidate for the title is Texas,but he needs to collect all points from final round and hope Fatass does not score a single point.

Teams championship has also changed - from close 4-way battle Fragmasters have pulled themselves out in lead 9 points ahead of S1dus and MRc. Theoretically top7 teams are still eligible for title,realistically just 3. With finnish domination the Nations cup has already wrapped up - Finland scored in each round 22 points,which is more than any other nation in both rounds together. 3rd nations title for Finland in START is secured. But there is still open battle for 2nd best nation honor between Poland,Argentina and Hungary.

Season finale will be carried out in Aston's very south side,on the short loop used last year as 2nd round. Track is relatively simple and offers multiple good racelines in turn one,so it might feature great battles for positions,but as always some preparing and setting up is required for success.
