How Do You Drive Outside The Map!?
I see all these really cool rally stage layouts and layouts that take you outside of the designated driving area and I don't understand how to fix the problem I'm having. Basically nothing is solid and I have grip like slicks on ice as soon as I get outside the map edges. For layouts that spawn out side the map I get an error message "could not find position on path" and spawn well below the objects. This is a problem I have with any layout that is out side of the original area. To sum it up, I have no grip (on ice) and nothing is solid or I spawn under the objects / If I spawn inside the original area, where things are solid, and try to drive over I just fall off the edge to a no grip surface under the objects. I don't understand. obviously i'm doing something wrong but I can't find any info on the topic? Thanks for any help!

You're not doing anything wrong - some of the bits outside where you're supposed to be don't have a surface to hold you there, and there's some barely-any-grip-and-invisible surfaces underneath other things too.

You have to find which bits you can drive on through trial and error, but one tip is to use the autocross editor to try to place a tyre stack - you can only place (basic) objects on ground that will hold a car, so you can quickly trace the edges.
I always thought that this a sad attempt to create a new 'tracks'. It looks terrible and it feels terrible. Big grin
We need an official mod support to create tracks and cars.
This is not what I mean. look at any of the top "rally stage" layouts available, where they are driving the inner roads of westhill this is not possible for me.

For example: The surfaces they are driving on in this I just fall through to a lower surface?

This one same idea except I spawn below the objects?

My question is how are they able to make this work??

Sorry, I misunderstood. As Bish says, make sure you're in the right configuration (did you rename the layouts? the links are broken now so I can't test them myself). Failing that I suspect a reinstall would be the next step, just to be sure there's nothing corrupt.

How did you manage to load a WE2X track in WE2? Confused Shrug

renamed the track probably
Or he's been using LFSLazy's merger to load layouts. That thing loads any layout of the same track no matter what config it is.
If referring to me, the image shows a we1x layout selected while set to the we1x track
