Is it televised at all?
Quote from anttt69 :Is it televised at all?

Motors TV have a show scheduled on Monday at 8p.m. called Acceleration 14. It seems to cover the full weekend line up, but this episode is from Portimao, rd 1.
Let's bet on who will be champion in every series :

GP2 : Stoffel Vandoorne
WSR : Pierre Gasly (I don't believe Sainz Jr can be good a whole season)
GP3 : Alex Lynn
F3 : Esteban Ocon
FR 2.0 Eurocup : Nyck De Vries
GP2 : Stoffel Vandoorne
WSR : Carlos Sainz
GP3 : Alex Lynn
F3 : Antonio Fuoco
FR 2.0 Eurocup : Bruno Bonifacio
F1: Lewis Hamilton

oh dear. all the cars went into safe mode XD having to bumpstart.
GP2 never fails to amaze me. "Hey guys let's try 3 wide at Loews... What could possibly go wrong?"

Though in all fairness, that race was absolutely epic. Coletti's 2 moves at Anthony Nogues were mega. Shame he didn't make the 3rd one stick, I really think he could have won this.
Yeah, thoroughly enjoyed those GP2 races. Love Buxton and Filippi commentating, too.
GP2 is usually the best actual racing of the F1 weekend.

Regarding Coletti, they interviewed Button after qualifying and he mentioned how you can pull moves at Monaco, but if you do then eventually it ends in disaster and that's what happened to Coletti. Shame because he was driving well, but you always have to rely on the other driver at Monaco
looks to be a really break out year for Sainz, he hasn't shown this much form consistently since Redbull signed him.

Hopefully this means that Helmut Marko learned a lesson from Dropping Wickens prematurely.
...or that if you stick around in a series long enough you'll start getting the results.

This is his First Full season of F3.5 though.
Wickens never won a thing.

Wickens got dropped in 2008 after a poor season in F3.5 he was only 19 at the time, then the year after he came 2nd in the first season of Formula 2, 2nd in GP3 the following season and then won F3.5 beating Vergne in the same team.

There you go, If you want to be a F1 Candidate either you give a lot of money or impress at your early years of racing.
Esteban had 19 when he won GP3.

Esteban had 19 when he won GP3.

Look at Romain Grosjean for example at age 20 he was no where in F3 Euro, then after that won every full time championship he competed in(apart from F1).

It's safe to say that he was shown much more promise in F1 then Esteban ever has too.

Wickens won F3.5 against a field that was definitely higher quality overall (vergne, ricciardo, korjus etc) then GP2 at the time(grosjean destroyed GP2 that year) and would rate it very highly.
Well Grosjean won Pau GP for his first season of F3 and bear in mind that back in those day, ASM was the team to be in if you want to win F3 Euro.

About Sainz Jr, that's indeed the first time he is that consistent in a championship then the drivers running p2 & p3 in the championship are rookies. The problem of 3.5 and GP2 is that you have so many drivers that have made more than 2 seasons so it's hard for rookies but at the end of the day, looking at the poor 20 cars WSR grid, how would GP2 and WSR grid looks like without those drivers?
