how do you get it to work. it gives me an error with d3d8.dll

i run lfsrun
go hot lapping
then /ghost on
but nothing appears

what am i doing wrong?

do i need d3d8.dll to run it, because it gives me a memory error when it´s there.

the d3d8.dll file is included in the ghostcar download.

you must start LFS with the Ghostcar.exe that comes with it.

Work fine

i've downloaded the lfs ghostcar.....i'ved upacked it in the lfs directori...i run lfs with the lfsgrun .....but when i tipe /ghost on ...it sais unkowed command/...why?

I just downloaded it and it works fine. Make sure you've done this:

1. Extract the archive to your game directory (no a sub-directory).
2. Open the config file and add your AdminPass password.
3. Start the game with the LFSGrun.exe file.

If you've done it right you'll see a message to the top left of the screen. Note that you can't use it with the PitSpotter and MotionBlur addons.

it should be noted that you have to do 1 complete flying lap before the ghost is recorded. that means the ghost will appear as you start lap 3 in hotlap mode.

Does this ghostcar works with downloaded hotlaps?

That would be good training..

example: Download best hotlap from lfsworld and try to beat that time with ghostcar help :E

yep it works, you have to save de replay of the hotlap you want and then use
Raf->Ghost-Converter v0.10 by metallalchemist
and put the file on the ghostcar, where it should be

No. Ghostcar only works in hotlap mode. Also, if you run lfsgrun and try to connect to a server you'll get kicked due to a mismatch.
