10 Best F1 GP's from 1989-2006?
Dear Readers,

I came across something on the internet where I can order DVD's of complete F1 broadcasts in Dutch since 1989.

I'm planning to buy a max of 10, so that's why I'd like to ask you all your top 10 or top 5 of best Grand Prix since 1989.

First one's I can think of myself would be:

1. San Marino 1994
2. Brazil 2003
3. Belgium 2001
4. Brazil 1991
5. Canada 1998
6. Belgium 1998
7. ?
8. ?
9. ?
10. ?

Can someone give addition, or better ones?

I'm looking for races with lots of exciting action and some crashes.

Thanks,

Kind Regards,
Walter

Best? Interesting in original broadcast sense for sure, but best?
Brazil and China 2005, Brazil 2006? RENAULT!!!

San Marino 2005 and 2006 for sure, Monaco 1996, and if you have enough space, Canada 2011.

Morbid
German GP in 2000 was quite exciting. Wet weather etc.
Quote from tristancliffe :Morbid

Tristan in only 1 of those races anyone died, and I'm very interested in Imola 1994 since I'd like to know more about it, and also the Dutch commentary during all of it.
Quote from deggis :Best? Interesting in original broadcast sense for sure, but best?

Not best at all for this one in particular no. I'm just very interested how everything happened and was in original broadcast with Dutch commentary. Only saw 1 tiny clip from it in Dutch.
This is all a little sadistic isn't it Walter? The whole concept of Formula 1 has been excitement and I don't think a focus on the dark side of the sport that has long gone is very appropriate or healthy. By all means conduct your own research into Imola 1994 as it is a controversial aspect of history but don't go to a racing forum and ask for clips of people suffering and dying in the sport - that is, as Tristan has said - morbid and highly concerning.
The whole point of this is that after watching such things he could easily say "SENNA IS THE BESTEST RACER IN UNIVERSE OF ALL TIME, COZ I SAW HIM DRIVING!".
Who cares if someone died ffs, people die, it's inevitable, there's no point getting all weird about speaking about, or viewing death.

Rocklan obviously wants to relive those moments, the aftermath and the reactions from other drivers/spectators. It's not about just 'seeing someone die' it's about going back to that moment and reliving it. Just like when you watch a classic GP you don't watch the last 3 laps, you watch the whole thing, because of the atmosphere.

There's no real explanation for a fascination with these incidents, but then again, there's no real explanation for a fascination in anything.

But the fact here remains, these things DID happen and there IS footage of them. There's no point ignoring it to satisfy your own inherent fear of death.
Then search in youtube for people dying don't advertise your sick habits on a forum.
Quote from b1kzit :Then search in youtube for people dying don't advertise your sick habits on a forum.

You're taking it out of context, which is usual for someone who doesn't fully understand something.

I admit the way in which he is asking for such broadcasts is a little unorthodox but at least he's straight to the point unlike many in the world.
What BlueFlame says mainly is the point.

I want to relive action I didn't see. And about the 1994 one, from all I've seen from Senna, including the movie, it's not that I want to see the race to see him die. It's more to relive the incredible emotions that could be felt during that GP.

My list is now as follows:
1. Germany 2000
2. Malaysia 2001
3. Belgium 2000
4. San Marino 1994
5. Brazil 1991
6. Brazil 2003
7. Monaco 1996
8. Monaco 2005
9. Japan 1989
10.
11.
12.

I'll buy 2 more from the guy since I just received some money.

Please give tips to fill up the last 3.

Best GP's in that time frame would probably be for me:

European Grand Prix 1999

French Grand Prix 1999

(best year of F1 I have watched. Not for driving standards, I mean Eddie Irvine almost won the title for crying out loud, but for drama.)

Brazilian Grand Prix 2003

Japanese Grand Prix 2005

San Marino Grand Prix 2005

Monaco Grand Prix 1996

Hungarian Grand Prix 1998 just for the brilliance illustrated.

German Grand Prix 2000

American Grand Prix 2003

Italian Grand Prix 2004

Japanese Grand Prix 2000

Last 6 laps of Monaco 92

First 42 laps of USA 90, Alesi v Senna

There's probably more.
Jeez, lighten up people.

Jerez 1986
Adelaide 1986
Spa 1992
Kyalami 1993
Hockenheim 1994
Suzuka 1994
Adelaide 1994
Spa 1995
Adelaide 1995 (I guess you like high attrition races? Never watched it actually, but I bet it's an odd one)
Monaco 1996
Monaco 1997
Jerez 1997 (maybe not so much "action" involved, but it's a pretty cool one just for the excitement of the title chase)
Spa 1998
Nurburgring 1999
Hockenheim 2000
Interlagos 2001
Melbourne 2002
Interlagos 2003
Suzuka 2005
Shangai 2006

Indianapolis 2005 is a funny one too...

Is it just coincidence that most of the GP's you listed here Schumacher won? OR what?

3 GP's out of the number I listed is hardly a big number.

Derp, I left out one. 2003 British Grand Prix with the nut on the track.
Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Indianapolis 2005 is a funny one too...

Half of the drivers who started ended up on the podium.. Sweet

I was getting a few mixed dates then. Thought 2004 Italian GP was a MSC victory aswell as 2005 San Marino, just a year off tho. Forgive me lord CSF.

What was the point of this topic if you were just going to put races no one suggested into your cart?

People also suggested on Skype.

They reminded me of some races from Verstappen.
