Brief description of incident: Under caution #38 loses a position to #48 after #48 passes most of the field on the apron on approach to the pit.
Pitlane was open as long as you dont pass the saftey car it's fair game, you didnt move to the apron untill after I passed you.

Quote :Pitting

There is no required pitstop in any of the races in this event. If you do need to pit, do so in the following manner:

Under green, use the apron area from the start of turn 3 all the way to the start of pitlane. If the caution comes out while you are on the apron, but before the line marked with blue cones (the “Commitment line”), you need to return to the track, or simply pass through pitlane without stopping. If you are at or past this line when the caution comes out, you may carry our service. If you are unsure about having crossed the line, you should not stop.

Under yellow, enter the pitlane right before the pitwall, at the exit of Turn 3. Pit on the first lap the pitlane is open if at all possible, to expedite the SC period.

At all times, you are to follow the entire exit apron area through to just prior to turn 2 when exiting pitlane.

The first saftey car line is where I entered pits..
So when will the decision be made? Just curious.

Car 48 enters pit lane in the incorrect place for the track status. Car 48 also overtakes almost the entire field before the first Safety Car Line.

However, there is a possible discrepancy regarding the Safety Car Lines. The layout used has them placed where they are able to be placed per the draft new NDR Sporting Code - the actual location was on the exit of Turn 3.. The currently active Sporting Code states that the Safety Car Lines shall cross the track at the end of the blend line, which would be at the cones on the apron just before entering Turn 3.

Since the driver committed an overtake prior to where the Blend Line would have been had it been placed if the Active Sporting Code placement was used, the infraction will still be called.

Car 48 is hereby issued a custom placement penalty - Car 48 will be placed as last car on the lead lap. This will be displayed in the results as a 25 second penalty.
