This thread shall deal with everything which is not Formula 1 or Indy Car. I guess, you will understand when you read this opening post.

Starting with what shall be the series future Formula 1 champions are racing in... maybe. Actually 3 Series with very similar cars, GP2, Formula 3.5l World Series by Renault and AutoGP are to be considered as Level 2 under F1. FIA's/Palmer's Formula 2 is rather something between GP2-alikes and F3, with drivers going to one of the earlier mentioned series after their F2 season(s).

GP2-Series

The GP2 is the closest series to Formula 1. Why? Well, it races on the same tracks and weekends. After the decline of GP2 Asia, the original GP2 series also features races at Bahrain, Sepang and Singapure this year. 11 of 12 events GP2 will support F1 in 2012.
