Pitting on Empty
Found this the other day messing around on SP...

Entered the Pit-Lane just as I was about to run out of fuel, then as I went over the speed limit line the engine cut out. Managed to roll into the pit box and the game completed the pit-stop (Damage, Tyres, Fuel) but even though it had put fuel back into the tank (around 6L worth) the engine wasn't restarted.

This happened on SO1 in a FOX.

Surely if you were lucky enough to get to your pitbox when you run out of fuel it should restart the engine for you?

Press the ignition button (usually i) to start the engine.
(This key also shuts off the engine, that's good/silent for idling in the pits)

Ahhhh.....

Shall I edit the first post to say "noob alert" =P

Thanks guys, only really started getting into the game and playing online recently so was doing setup work...have actually put 1% more fuel in for that length run now.

Am I the only guy who thinks the cars stop too quickly when they run outta fuel?

Quote from thisnameistaken :it doesn't affect people very often - or at all, if they've done their sums right!

Or when they can't do their sums right but always carry additional 5% of fuel with them.
That's my pit-strategy .

Hehe I've asked this exact same question when I was new to S2, good to see I'm not the only one
