Maybe you are wondering what the Open Wheel Racing League will do with the new Formula 1 car in LFS, so here you are:

Due to the short time before the next season and the preference of some to use the Formula V8 as planned, we decided we will stay using this car in Div A. To keep things interesting strategy-wise, race distance for the first race at Fern Bay Gold will be lengthened to 64 laps (approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes). After the first event, the race distance will be evaluated.

Div B, in which all new drivers will start, will continue to use the Formula XR. The two divisions will run synchronously starting on April 29. All races are on saturday 20:00 CEST.

This does not mean we will forget about the BMW Sauber F1.06. We will have something in which everyone can participate in the short term. More on that later on. Stay tuned!
