LFS EDC | European Drift Championship

Hello drifters,

We like to introduce you a whole new drift event in our beloved LFS. The one and only, European Drift Championship. It is the same as the well known championship held in Europe where the best drifters compete for their fame and credits. This event will be held on realistic replicas of the tracks of the event as we know it in real. Made by people who have actually drifted these tracks in real for optimal realistic featuring.

What’s the competition set-up?
The rounds of EDC will be based on both Tansou and Tsuiso runs and will be judged by 2 judges. However before being able to compete in one of these rounds you’ll need to qualify in a Qualification round. From the 40 drifters that will start only 16 will make it to the real round.

What does EDC offer me?
Besides the chance of the fame becoming highly ranked in the event and of course the fun competing with other drifters having professional skills EDC has allot more to offer. When becoming a EDC-member you’ll get access to web-area’s that are restricted for other people. There you’ll find all kinds of add-ons and more goodie’s updated monthly. If you decide to join one of the rounds of EDC you’ll also get access to the EDC VIP server. A server featuring the layout of upcoming round witch only people can join who have signed-up for joining that specific round. This way you’ll be able to practice in peace with only dedicated drifters.

Where can I get more information about EDC?
For more information about EDC you can visit our website at www.lfs-eurodriftchamp.tk where you’ll find all information about the event, the oncoming rounds, rules, downloads, professional high-quality video’s, forums, member-profiles, scoreboards and our unique WIO-list.

How do I sign up for EDC?
You can sign-up at the official EDC forum you can access by going to our website. All information about the rules and the way to sign-in you’ll find there.

you couldnt take part anyway - its for s2 users only.

ALL rounds are on friday nights at 6pm GMT. Had to be moved back a day due to me working until 6 on weekends, and it may stop any crashing together with other competitions.

thanks.
Crabster.

EDIT : if the .tk address does not work - use the original webs.com please.

www.lfsedc.webs.com

(i just found that currently too many users are using the .tk host at the moment so its just in case)

if i can get an internet connection to my gaming computer its on my to do list to get a s2 liscense, and get that horrible lag fixed.

Due a drop-out in the Top 8 driver 'dot' from Falken got a wildcard after his lost at the Top 16 battle against Reinis as reward of beeing leader at the drivers scoreboard.

Congratz to all drivers and this time specially the judges witch must have became bold after judging this round!

Alright, we are now working to update all the scoreboards with the scoring of EDC Round 4 on Santa Pod. Again it was a great and promising round. A very short straight leading into a tight right-hand corner shortly followed by a left-hand coner witch starts very sharp growing to a wider angle allongside a wall witch functionates as Clippingpoint. Still sideways at the outcome of the second corner the curcuit flows into a sharp right-left combination towards the last slightly left-turning corner just infront the finnish line.

Top 16
With 16 drivers we took off for round 4. And right away the action was on with two previous round winners Dot (Falken) and TheViking (Driftworks) fighting for a spot in the first tsuiso of the Top 16. Eventough TheViking showed some good drift skills Dot won his battle. Led Streetdrifter was no match for Mustang (Head Tour Team) and also GrandPa (Falken) won from Koksnu22 (LDC€). A new face this round was Tautvis from YoshiD. Unfortanely he meeted Scoped (Tein) in the Top 16 so his first EDC Round was quickly over but we sure will see more of him in the future. Where the only Fz5 driver (BadLVboy from Nsys) beated Rockstar from LDC€ it was much more easy for Reinis (also from Nsys). Since his competative did not show up the was automaticly qualified for the Top 8. At last was the battle between Crabosan (Driftworks) and Darius (Alpine"); witch Darius won after a spin-out of Crabosan

Top 8
So with the Top 8 drivers known it was off to the first battle with the leader in the drivers-league (Dot) and Richy witch resulted in a win for the Falken member. Next battle would maybe be the most exiting battle of the Top 8 looking at the drivers. GrandPa from Falken against Led StreetDrifter who scored 100 points during the qualification a week earlier. After some really close twinning and OMT's it was surprisingly not the Falken member who joined the Top 4 drivers. Next up was the battle of XR Turbo from Tein driver Scoped versus the Nsys Fz5 from BadLVBoy. After a great save of Scoped when BadLVBoy unsuspectedly pulled the e-brake into T3 it was up to the judges if this was a case of initiating a drift or a case of brake-checking. The judges decides the straw should be drawn in a OMT witch took Scoped from team Tein to the Top 4. And as last Nsys driver Reinis was no mach for Darius from Alpin"

Top 4
Tough he might can be seen as the unbeatable drifter, Dot from Falken met the "Falken-Killer" Led in the first tsuiso of the top 4. Tough after some great drifting it appeard to be to much for Led to take two Falken drivers down in one round. The next twin was Scoped versus Reinis witch at the end resulted in a win for the Tein driver Scoped. This ment Led meeted Nsys driver Reinis in the tsuiso for the 3th place. After a OMT led took a well deserved 3th place.

Final
So there we are than. Again, as most expected, Falken's Dot was in the final. This time against his rival from "the green side", Tein driver, Scoped. They meeted eighother in earlier rounds witch resulted in some amazing twinning and never-ending OMT's. Scoped made a very good chance writing this round on his name since he was by far the best driver when it comes to the 3th clipping-point. A long wall allong side T2 he prefers to rub his bumper allong from start to end. The first twin, the lights go on green, both have great angle into T1 and a great flick into T2 but as scoped tries to gain speed to slide allong the wall he is going to fast causing his back to hit the wall to hard and slamming his front into a straight line losing allot of angle and speed. Lucky he knows to recover but the first twin was a win for Dot. So it all or nothing for Tein as the second twin is taking place. This time all goes well for both drivers but Scoped can't beat the line of Dot making the Falken driver yet again winner of a EDC Round!

The EDC Scoreboard is now updated with all the Scores of Round 5. With round 5 at Silverstone now finnished it up to the last round of the first Season of EDC. So lets take a look at the scoreboard so far. Dot from Falken in now leading the Drivers League with an amazing amount of 395 points. The second position is also for a Falken member. GrandPa with 210 points. So this mean we already know the winner of the Drivers League from EDC Season 1. Even if GrandPa would win Round 6 Dot's scoring is unbeatable. With 3 winning rounds Dot is winner of the Drivers League. This doesn't meen its less exiting when we look at the other positions. Tein drifter TheViking is on 3th position with only 5 points behind GrandPa. Or are one of the other Top10 drivers like Scoped, Reinis and Led up for a suprise and taking the 2th and 3th place in EDC? Its all still possible.

If we gonna look at the Team League its quite the same story. Falken is leading with on absolutly unbelievable 605 points! Tough its still possible to knock them of the first place this chance is very, very minor. Never the less after Round 5 the rest of the Team League order got quite a change. With a Nsys scoring a 100points in round 5 they are now on 3th position pushing both Tein and Driftworks a possition down the list at 4th and 5th place. Dem Motorsports is still infront of them at 2th place with only 10 points more. So it will still be a hard batlle between both Tein, Nsys and Driftworks or (who knows) are the Suncity Sliders in for a suprise. Its gonna be one hell of a last round.
