i had a skin found for me, but they said the skin needed converting from s1 to s2. Does anybody have any idea of how to do this.



i may even post one tomorrow on a skin i made, but i edited it from a teamplate som1 sent. Team skin, bit weary of who might edit/copy/use the skin.

but main question is, how do i convert skins from s1 to s2.

Skins are only jpgs, the problem is that the shape of some of the car models has changed since the S1 days. If the skin you want to use doesn't fit the shape of the car model as it appears in S2 then the skin won't "look right".

You'll need to edit the skin in order to make it fit properly onto the S2 version of the model. The best way to see what needs doing is to download the cmx viewer from the main site, drop your skin into the viewer S2/data/skins directory, fire up the app and see what changes need to be made. Then presuming you have permission to edit somebody else's skin you get down to it, failing that you make another.
