Is it possible? I have seen the inside of the adapter and there are way too much wires..

I agree. I've got exactly the same converter as that and it works great. You can even plug in two pads at once.

Anyways, what I was thinking is that replacing the adapter, and even though that would help a lot, I've got no use for it since the adapter is broken.

Would you still be able to use it in the PS2 afterwards??
