Looks like a nice fit shes gonna be a beaut
@ Scabby and Michel: give him/me the money and I buy a better one

But its his first car of that sort, and it was a bargain (dunno exact prize tho). 0-60 4sec is okay for the moment. Who knows what he does to it during next winter (2ZZ ....) That Rover lump has no catalysator atm, and a airfilter the Tüv won't like either

This better be getting a engine swap! please dont tell me your planning too drif ti with a Ca18det?
nothing wrong with the ca18det's when you're on a budget
Yeah, plus if it does stuggle to do any prolonged tail out action just lock the diff, then you'll be away!

don't know why you'd try drifting without a LSD or locker anyway, its almost impossible to do transitions because it snaps and sends you spinning

No.

CA18DET has lot's of potential, so i'm gonna keep it and upgrade it.
Diff is allready welded by a professional racecar builder

And not everyone needs an SR20 or RBxx
if your sticking with the ca18det you need too get a bigger turbo id suggest getting like a t25 or t28 turbo made for the sr20det im pretty sure it will bolt on.

You will however have to clock the compressor housing in order to allow the water return line enought clearance. otherwise it will hit the top of the manifold.

and also don’t boost over 14psi on the t25 turbo and never boost more than 14psi without some sort of fuel management, including larger injectors, period. cause your motor will be FARKED

Is that the angel where you CANT see the dodgy paint?
Angels, where?

But erm, yea, it shouldn't be noticeable but he didn't use 2pack primer so you can see some dodgyness in the paint when you see it with direct light, but apart from that, it's great, all of this for under a grand, including the amount my insurance went up, tax and borrowing some rover 45 alloys (My alloys needs a couple of tyres and I want to get the alloys sprayed anyway so it makes sense to borrow these. )
blah

i need to stop buying cheap china tools

snapped both ends of a 14mm spanner while trying to take turbo mani off

Eh ive no car atm...

had a project in the garage but sold it off as ive to fund a new car...

little under 207k miles, countless amounts of abuse and finally i killed my 306.

How it never burst into flames, imploded or just refused to start ill never know.

R.I.P red rocket.

Have my eyes on a MkII escort or simular.
Felt like posting here.

Me has Focus indicators now!
so.. my first car. BMW e34 535. 3.5l engine, ~210hp, LSD, full OBC and other nice things. 0 - 100km/h in about 7.7 seconds. actually, I wanted something faster (e34 540 or maybe e30 coupe with swapped-in engine from e36 328), but this is ok too. oh yes, and insurance on this is about 150 euros per year
atm it's complete stock, but I'm planning to change orange steering lights to clear/smoked ones, front lights to hella dark, rear all red, full shadowline pack (all chrome parts will be black), and, ofcourse some nice 17'' wheels, bmw original style 32 for example..

just keep it stock, their nice enough plain - dont ruin it, tune it.

get it driving 100%, then rust seal Then rally the life out of it.
While i was banned i made myself busy, my dad took this Mondeo 2.0 Zetec in part exhange for £200 and gave it me as a project to make some money towards my first car. Full service history, 86,000mls, tidy inside so i was pretty happy with it.

Bad bits:

Front bumper the paint was flaking off (sprayed this myself, pretty happy with the result)

Rear bumper had a hole in it (replace £40)

Quite scratched all round (buffed it)

Cost me £130 to get it through MOT

Anyway, this is how it started:

And how it finished:

Now just selling it, its only my uncles forecourt right now, ill give him a week or so and then ill put it on autotrader myself.
Your 17 and you've already been banned from driving?

How are you ever going to get insured.... :X
