+ 1 with Android's variation.
unanimity vote to end race sounds good. It might clutter the chatterbox though
Quote from AndroidXP :Can't you just up the vote requirement to 100% of the on-track racers so that there is at least some technical way out of a hypothetical FUBAR situation?

Or maybe it should require 2/3rds of the on-track racers to restart or end. At leace then it is a majority vote - then less people will be disapointed

The question is, even if a driver is racing alone, because there was no one at the server the time the race started or because everybody crashed during the race, he should have the right to finish his race, if that´s what he wants. This is specially true in endurance days... What´s the point in starting a race that´s going to last about half an hour, if you don´t know if we´ll be alowed to make it to the end, because of people who can´t drive 2 laps without crashing or because people that join the server and can´t wait 10 or 15 minutes to join a race?...

It's specifically against the rules for a midrace joiner to vote to end a race or restart it, so it's already covered in the rules. If it happens, report them and it will be the last time they join the track mid-race for a long time.
