Citroen's usually have a front wheel handbrake. I remember pulling away from some lights to turn right once being a bit zippy and my passenger decided, without informing me, that i'd be doing a handbrake turn. I was driving a Citroen BX. Luckily the only thing to be hit was my passenger.
IMO the handbrake in FWD cars (like the BX) should always affect the rear wheels to make the most out of available grip: in a parked car you can hold the driven wheels by engaging 1st or reverse.

But then again Citroen were known for being 'avantgarde', even though the BX is a bit of a cross between Citroen's ingenuity and Peugeot... hrm... love for tradition
