game drifting
On what game would you rather drift on: Gran Turismo 4, or Forza Motorsport 1 or 2? To me, Gran Turismo 4, because it's hard and fast at the same time, plus if you get stick making GT4 setups, then you go here.

make sure you scroll down to find what car you are looking for. Nissan and Toyota are the most popular cars.

Well I would drift in lfs, but if you need to choose from those, I would choose gt4.. old times
I dont know, I cant drift in GT4.. Because that game is pure SHIT. You cant make a donut nothing. THERE IS NO LSD. FAKE game. game engine sux.

That's a correct description
Forza 2 is the most realistic console racing game that I've played so far.

hehe... turn off antispinn/tcs "whatever", and u really, REALLY have wheelspin.. zero traction :P

sure in that way it´s shit... but i love the 240

GT4 was almost impossible to unstick my 500bhp nitroused M3. With all aids off, never drive with Aids.
I tried GT5P with a mustang, and it understeered horribly, and there was a huge squeal every time I moved the steering wheel. Then if I touched a fence or wall, instant unrecoverable spin.

Didn't feel right at all, so no thanks to drifting in that game. Forza 1 was much more tail happy, so I could have a bit of fun with that.
I would drift on GRID, then get beaten by people doing 60mil drifts online.
If you want a somehwat realistic PS2 driving game, try Enthusia. it beats GT4 in every way but two: content (some 200 cars vs some 700) and graphics, which are a tad less detailed.

Go and grap urself a ps 2 and enthusia then

I had that as well, funnily enough I traded GT4 in + some money for it at the time, the bloke in the store told me I 'didn't know a decent sim when I played one'.

I remember on that game it had that huge bridge that went for ever and ever, I'd use it for acceleration, top speed and braking tests. It also had a wet version if I remembered, and some pretty good rally tracks. Unfortunatly I never really got to play it that much since my PS2 packed up about 8 weeks after I bought the game. (Didn't play that much).

Most fun part was the random car rewards.

Someone port to 360 and I'll sleep with your partner (Male, Female or goat, whatever best applies) for a small fee
I ain't too keen on Sim racers, like GT4 or Forza. I just get arcade racers for consoles. The thing I like about them, is that they are fun, and there are many things you can't do in real life. At least LFS is a sim, but also has some fun aspects.

Got a liltle question. Ford Mustang has rear open diff, could somebody check in GT5 if it is correctly simulated(or if any differencials are simulated)? It might be rather simple to do, one wheel on the grass other on the asphalt, and post a movie on You Tube.
Enthusia is a fantastic PS2 title, but Forza 2 is a much more complete simulation.

I remember having trouble getting hold of Enthusia as none of the local shops stocked it, and when I first tried some 300-400hp Jag thinking "WTF?!?", as I was trying to drive it like GT4, had to switch to a more LFS-like approach to avoid sliding everywhere Shame there was no sequel, it had the worst menu + game design you can imagine, but the racing itself was a lot of fun.
Yeah, too bad it came out a few months after GT4, when everyone and his granny were playing that instead. Also, the reviews (all done by gamepad drivers, obviously) didn't help either. Really a shame.

dude, too much power. I drift like a pro. its easy. keep the power UNDER 450, and don't use nos. Also, give yourself an LSD, Comfort or Economic tires, all the other race stuff, and you got yourself a drift car. it involves a lot of spin crash redo work. keep practicing, and you can be able to drift like a pro.
gt4 has no wheel slip, but its a good racing sim other than the ai and the wheel spin.

dude, it has wheel slip. do you want to see one of my replays?
well it doesn't have very good slip, it a small slip and out of control.
I wouldnt Touch GT4 if you payed me. Hell if I wanna drift I just load up LFS cause its actually real. (mate got me to play GT4 I know and well he payed me $5), I tried to Scandinavian whip the car into drifting that failed so I walked off and installed LFS on his PC and showed him what a real Drifting game looks like
well, im not sure yet. cos my xbox is coming tomorrow and hopefully so is forza 2

No, it is good car porn, and a reasonably fun driving game, but it's nowhere near a sim, despite what sonys marketing department claims.

And while it is possible to spin the wheel in GT4, (meaning you get squeal and smoke), the cars don't behave like they should when spinning.
There are two simple tests which show that: try a donut (full steering lock in one direction and full throttle in first gear) or search a banked road surface and floor it. IRL, the cars driven wheel should skid downwards without you needing to steer, while in GT4, the car simply accelerates forward.
heh, console game and simulation don't go together.
