i'm not sure if it's mentioned in the forum before but here's the story;

BBC (via Gamasutra) reports 40 episodes of cult British car series Top Gear will be available for download through the Gran Turismo TV channel over the PlayStation Network. Additionally, Top Gear's test track will be included in GT5.
"We're sure that players will be as thrilled as we are when they get the chance to put their own driving skills to the test on the Top Gear Test Track in GT5, as well as enjoying classic episodes of Top Gear via GT TV," said Kazunori Yamauchi, Polyphony Digital president. Simon Danker, director of digital media at BBC Worldwide, added, "We're thrilled to make Top Gear accessible to Gran Turismo gamers."

One more reason to buy freaking PS3

They really should put THAT in LFS.

There's already at least three PC games that you can drive this track - GTR 2, GTL, and Rfactor.

Three good reasons not to buy a PS3?

Ah, but it'll look a whole lot better in GT5.

After seeing Nordschleife on GT4 I was quite impressed, so I reckon The Top Gear test track will be pretty accurate on GT5.
Still I don't have £300+ to waste on a PS3, let alone GT5 aswell.

If the Top Gear test track that was made for Rfactor is the same as GTR and GTL, then's it's not all that great.

As someone already said, it would be nice to have on LFS, along with one special AI...

It would be so awesome to have that track in LFS, and the same car the famous peaple drive it, so we can make our own score board ! Trying to make a better laptime than the Stig would be fun

lol, i think i shouldnt buy ps3.i think my television couldnt show that good graphics. need to get some hi quality screens if i buy it

i'll have to get my dad to buy me a ps3 since he seems to have taken over my xbox. We do need this track in lfs tho.

On a sidenote, Kazunori Yamauchi gave an interview to an austrian news paper and said: "It's very very unlikely that GT will be published on another console - but perhaps it will make it on to the PC. Especially on the chinese market, we would boost sales by that."

So everybody who wan'ts car porn on his PC that isn't as bug ridden as TDU has at least something to hope for.

You do realise that the Top Gear track is a figure 8 layout? That would make it 'interesting' in LFS to say the least..

Ok, PS3 has the track, but doesn´t have the physics and realism to enjoy it. It´s still shit then

Ill give you a simple example which me and my friends thought up of during science.

The wii = Radio waves
Xbox = Micro waves
PC = Infared waves
And Teh PS3 IS GAMMA RAYS!

And power is nothing without control. It depends on if you want to use the power to be a screenshot generator or a simulator. We'll see when gt5 is out to stores.

its power is overated, I mean compare a PC capable of running 1600 X 1200 with 8X AA, with a PS3 running HD with no AA, the PS3 is hardly gamma ray.

and on the topic, the top gear track is really hardly a interesting track, I'd much prefer to have Angelsy where Fifth gear do their shotouts.

Your ps3 must suck!
And they havent made a game thats good enough to show off the capabilities of the ps3.

Also it would be good if you could unlock certain characters for this track

most games are fine, its just that pro ev is a total joke and was rushed out this year with ridiculous amounts of bugs and glitches.

+ 100 000 000 for the Top Gear Test Track on LFS, who wouldn't love this on Live For Speed???????

Ahh, another PS3 fanboy .

For reference, the xbox and PS3 are hardly any different. But xbox use's AA, when PS3 use's almost none. Xbox's online is better with less lag, xbox has more exclusive games, etc. etc.

Lets see your PS3 do 24xAA...

Anyway, i would like to have a go at this track, but i would enjoy it for all of about 3 seconds, then the physics would piss me off and i would turn off the console.

Ever since GT4, i have lost faith in GT, even though it did'nt have alot of faith to begin with.

Man to think one great thing for the PS3 after how many failures?
