I've got a DFP and would like to bind the F7-F9 keys to the D-pad on the left thumb on the DFP. Can this be done?

You'll need the Logitech profiler to do this. You can then map the buttons to the HAT. I used to have one of the start / select (or whatever) buttons mapped to run in a sequence.. push once for F9, twice for F10, thrice for F11 etc etc.

It is possible using the scripting system.
I have a button on the G25 shifter unit to cycle F9-F12 and use the D-Pad to change values.
