Yes - it's that time of year again!

Welcome to the LFS Forum Advent Calendar

Basically, we are counting down the days until Xmas. (well, not actually Xmas, as I will explain!!)

Each day there will be a motorsports related question beginning with a certain letter. Here are the letters and their corresponding days:

28/11 a
29/11 b
30/11 c
1/12 d
2/12 e
3/12 f
4/12 g
5/12 h
6/12 i
7/12 j
8/12 k
9/12 l
10/12 m
11/12 n
12/12 o
13/12 p
14/12 q
15/12 r
16/12 s
17/12 t
18/12 u
19/12 v
20/12 w
21/12 x
22/12 y
23/12 z
24/12 None allocated
25/12 Not many people will be on the forums on these days (apart from real post-whore keenos!)

I will start with a question that has an answer beginning with 'a', then whoever answers it will post tomorrow's question, that has an answer beginning with 'b'. Remember, please don't post the question before the day! Also, I see that this could be disadvantageous for our friends in America, as the question will be asked and probably answered whilst you're working hard at work/school (you wouldn't go on it there, would you!) I'm sorry, but if there's a really hard question, then you can answer it!

If no-one manages to find an answer, then the same person posts again the next day.

You may also find it difficult to find answers beginning with 'q', 'x' and 'z', so you don't have to be motorsport specific, if you don't want to!

Here is the first Question:
Which racing driver (surname begins with 'a') competed at the 1924 Italian Grand Prix, at Monza, and what car was he driving (also 'a'!)
Alberto Ascari in an Alfa Romeo P2?

So close! 3/4, you've got one bit wrong.

p.s this person won the race.
p.p.s This was meant to be difficult (you are seriously clever! or a good researcher) - not for the 1st person to post to nearly get it!! :-)
Ah well!
Antonio Ascari in an Alfa Romeo P2?

Correct - Antonio was the father of Alberto.

Please post a question with an answer beginning with 'b' tommorow!

Only 27 days to go

I was going to hit "Submit Reply" when I read your answer!
Which city hosted the Coppa Floria from 1904 to 1925?

DK
I cheated and checked from wiki and it gives 3 cities: Brescia, Bologna and Palermo. You sure you got the years right or did I misunderstood something?
I got the years right

You got it...

Brescia

Your turn

Post a question with the answer being...'C'
But you had to wait until tomorrow for the "b" answer

Alright...Got me there :S

Post the Q tomorrow

DK
Whoops, nearly forgot.

Name the manufacturer who provided this aural orgasm, starts with C...
It'd be lovely if I could bloody hear outta my ears, silly ear infections/randomly disabled hearing.
Cizeta?
no, it's only engine manufacturer...
mmm...Cosworth?
Yes. too easy?

it's Matra MS80 with DFV V12 from 1969 if someone was curious.
Yes, it was a bit too easy. But have a go with this folks!

At least I've made a rather weird picture.

A brazillian pounds of cheese?

Dallara F304

Bruno Senna driving

Am I right?

DK
You are right, but I was only looking for Dallara. It was found somewhere near Parma, so hence the cheese.
Is today's question arriving any time soon?
Yes

Which revived race team won the C2 class of the SWC in the 1980s?

DK
Whats the SWC?
Disregard the above. Is it Ecurie Ecosse? (V.Good - 2 'e's!)
