Snow! Already...
What a crazy day it has been up here in Aberdeenshire!! Winds reported up to 60mph and the odd quick blizzard of snow. Trust me to be carrying my big A2 sized folder to college today. Was dragging me all over the pavement

Whats the rest of the UK like?

*hopes for a calmer day tomorrow*
Aberdeenshire, yes, here in pitmedden (maybe your heard of this place), it has been quite a day.

At school, the windows were closed, and they burst the locks and flew open. So we had 80mph classroom winds
Well Leeds in good ol' Yorkshire was windy(but nothing like 60mph) and we had splutterings(i think thats a word) of rain here and there. It calmed down now the night has came.

Ps Hi Steve *waves*
Wind's a bit mental here but no snow, only rain.

All in all its a thoroughly miserable evening.

Pitmedden is like 4 miles along the road from where I live (Oldmeldrum).

Haha, glad none of my classes today required my drawing pad :P We just got/are getting a sprinkling of snow. Nothing staying on the ground, yet, though.

I'd like to take this opportunity to express how much I hate winter. Snow is the devil's fecal matter.
Not snow in Norway yet, but have to say it`s been a hell of a bad weather today. Wind and rain, making it impossible to go outside without 1 - getting blow away 2 - wet to the bone 3 - or a combination of them both..

Was only going for the mail, takes 1 minute to get it, had to change when I came in, even when I used an umbrella, it doesn`t help when the rain comes in this -------- > (me) attitue :sadbanana

I hope on some snow soon, it`s way better than the damned rain going on outside now.
Weird weather!! I actually got my LAWN CUT today!!
Was nice warm (ish) sunshine...then about 3pm it pissed down!
Lfsn00b, please send me some snow plx, I want it so badly
It`s a shame that we don`t get snow before in desember probally :sadbanana:
At least you get snow, I live near the sea so whenever it snows the salt in the air melts it before we realise its even snowing.

Its been warm today, but windy. However cold in the shade, the sun was scorching! I think I've improved my (slightly windswept) tan!
Not snowing but apparently in Great Yarmouth there is supposed to be a tidal surge. The river banks have burst already but it's only seeping through at the moment.

Good job I'm not living there any more really, but some of my family are still there. Hopefully it's not as bad as expected. We all know what the weather man is like.
It was quite cold and windy here today (redditch) and then in one of our classes, it decided to absolutely tip it down, and then blew open one of the class doors with the wind (this is one of our science rooms, a special lab which is outside). Was pretty crazy!

I have already got few powerslides with my Volvo in snow, I pity those FWD drivers, they miss all the fun
The fine thing about Volvo is that you can crash it, drive it, crash it, drive some more and crash it before it stops.
It`s solid as hell (well thats one way saying it lol) and is not the thing you want to get hit by
Its going to be bad in the South east of England, apparently high tidal surges is going to cause flooding within the next 48 hours.

With danger of sounding arrogant, I'm glad I'm 200+ feet above sea level and floods are a slim risk
I'll be going back to Norfolk next weekend so I'll see the damage (if there is any).

Anyone from that neck of the woods (Tristan, danowat?) say what it's like weather wise at the moment? I know neither of you live by the coast but you're close enough.
What is snow?
Lovely 24 ºC here.

Awwww...drove in the snow the first time this winter today, and oh was my dad's silly lard ass Toyota pushing around corners. I wished I had a RWD, but no. :P

I'd bet that I've had more fun with driving sideways for much longer time and distance in my FWD back in school than you in your Volvo. Had a 1983 Ford Escort and we skipped school one fantasticly snowy day. I drove for 3 hours straight completely sideways at 90 degrees to the road direction

This was of course on very deserted and very back country roads. I don't even think they were paved.

If you have driven 3 hours in angle of 90 degrees then I have been at Moon and Mars ;D

It is my first winter with this Volvo, but earlier years with my other Volvo I have had pretty lot of fun, it is really better going sideways as it actually can loose traction with accelerator, this current daily driver needs small scandinavian flick, it just has not enough power

Going sideways with FWD just looks so wrong, sure it can be fun for driver but it looks just so stupid
Yup it was snowing today here in Toronto, but it melted once it hit the ground. But traffic was a mess anyway...

(Did someone say 'global warming'?)

Haha, same here

I heard they've closed the Thames flood barrier, so it must be pretty bad.

Umm, plenty of snow up here in the northern part now. Dropped like 20 cm or so the last day.
