That it's stupid as they've just ruined the thermal pads, which cost a tenner to replace, for no real gain.

The water looks stupid, but i'm sure it's not.

Why would you do that to the poor card?
They say the card works fine (maybe it is not true) and they replaced the thermal pads with medic gauze like this and some thermal grease. Anyway, I think there is not reason for putting in risk a 450€ videocard when other cleaning methods are available...

Thermal Paste doesn't make proper contact and isn't properly adhesive, which is the exact reason why it is NOT recommended to take the HS of an 8800 and use some AS5 on the core.

Yeah, their taking the piss.

On an high-quality air cooler (ie the HR-07 or whatever it's called) you are looking at about 60 degrees load.
my 8800GTS BFG Oc version runs at 62 celcius load
