Wrong, he connected to the master server correctly.

In his photo you can see that it tried to connect to 476 hosts.

For some reason his computer is not receiving UDP packets back from the hosts.

dariolopez : I think you should make a new thread asking for help on this specific problem.

Your photograph shows that you do not have any problem connecting to the master server, so your problem is not on topic for this thread.

The master server has sent you a list of hosts and your computer received that list and tried to ping them all, but never got a reply. You have successfully connected to a host by direct connection. That proves that UDP packets do get from you to the host. For some reason, related to your router or firewall or some problem with Windows, you are not receiving UDP packets back from the host. I recommend you state this in a new thread, along with information about your version of Windows, what type of network setup you have, what software firewall you are using.

Still having problems
2 weeks now and i am still having the same problems with "lost connection to host " ive tried the following
1.flushing dns/renewing ip
2.turning off all firewalls
3.system restore
4.renewing internet cable into pc
5.port forwarding to lfs ip
6 disabling various firewall/nat ect in router itself
7.resetting router and contacting bt on the problem no problem found (currently have a 39mbs speed upload of 10mbs )
8.changing malware programs
9.changing antivirus program (advice from dmr sean and dmr atomant in lfs )

my problem is i can get online for about 5mins then my ping goes intermitently from 20 to 500 to 20 for 5mins then all of a sudden past 900 and i get "lost connection to host" i cant understand and nor can others ingame why i have such a high ping (only in lfs as i dont suffer this in either battlefield 2 or simraceway) with a 39mbs connection speed if anyone can check my connection logs for DMR DABUTTON and see if its a problem between the lfs master server and myself or has any help at all would be great been playing this game for 3 years and enjoy it dont want to stop playing for something like this .
Quote from waynedru78 : and see if its a problem between the lfs master server and myself or

The master server only provides the server list and there is some verification going on when you connect to a server in the provided list. After that, more or less you are dealing with that particular server. (Not entirely, don't know exactly how this CPW thing works, never tried to analyse that).

Try some different servers, can also be the server where you on which has a problem with you.

Also try to click on the TCP button as last resort in the N-list (on top, behind server name).
yeah have tried tcp which is spiking between 20 and 500 then dc ing on all servers I have been on .
So why no CG S2 then? Didn't see you in the S2 logs while you have almost 1400 laps registered from your previous active years.
I will try cg s1 and s2 tonight but i doubt i will have any luck i think a complete win 7 reboot is on the cards .after a reboot my problem has been fixed thanks for all your help much appreciated .
hi,

Hello Smile

It seems that I have connectivity problem with your master server.
Below the test results. I am from France and my ISP is Orange. I did a fresh install of LFS on a fresh install of windows 7.

I do not think it is due to me ISP because I can reach London and Level 3 routers.

Thanks for your help !

It's pretty normal that a server doesn't respond on ping or trace requests, doesn't tell anything about if a server can be reached or not.
So why pinging server is part of the test procedure (detailed on the first post of this thread) if the server does not answer to ping request ...

In case I would in the wrong, I would be a good idea to change test procedure ...
Tssss I forgot my f*** box firewall, stupid Frown

However my firewall did not block ping requests ...
