this must sound noobish... I used the search but shift comes up too often and U is too short

when I press shift U it keeps following a car. So that's not exactly free view... Is there a way to wacht a certain part of the track without being glued to a car?

At the bottom left in that little box of options, there should be an option "follow car:LFS name". Make sure that is set to no.

I cant find it.. or am I getting retarded?
Or is that an option AFTER you press shift U? If so, how do I get there?

Press shift+u
[If no buttons ar visible press Space]
Set follow Car to No
Press Space again to hide the Buttons
