I think that I'm going to upgrade some time soon to Core 2 Quad 6600 cpu, so need new motherbord too, however there is lot to choose from and I think that there are good and bad choices.
I'm not looking cool factor, but mobo that does it's job, that is possible to rig for water cooling and naturally it should be good quality that lasts more than 2 years.
Features I need are lot of USB ports, Firewire, maybe wlan but at least 1GB LAN, SATA and PATA for cdrom, integrated audio but it have to be good, my current MSI NF3 Neo platinum has onboard audio that sucks, some realtek chip that has.
Naturally PCI xpress and that is for really fast gfx card, probably just one would do for now.
4GB of ram and as fast as is reasonable is going to be fitted.
LPT port would be plus, but not necessarily equipment.
There is then few pci cards that need to be fit too.
It really does not matter what form factor that is as I need to get new case anyway, but watercooling is what I will be putting to new system too as in my old one.
Maybe something around 200 euros range, would be great if you would have some links to reviews of such motherboard with such cpu, thanks in advance
