Anyone cop racism in a server?

Every time i go on and theres a certian racer i see, he says things that are racist.. i dont do anything wrong to him, or i dont try to, and i dont say anthing about him, but still, hes racist...

really annoys me, ProRacingRoom is the best server for me, cause its an aussie server for people in australia only, fast clean racers and theres no lag ofcourse, so i get crap from someone and sorta ruins it, cause im not good with just letting things go ya know..

is there anyone i could report this to? hes not a wrecker either so yeh, i got the latest MPR if its needed..

Aoun, I have no idea what race / creed you are. Unless you are making a point of your race in some way. If he's calling you, for example, '****' then maybe you are in some way identifying yourself with black culture in game, perhaps by your car skin or something, perhaps you are isolating yourself in some way?

I mean, all we have is the name Aoun, how does anyone who is of the donkey hole pursuassion even know to target racism at you? I pressume you just picked some random vowels and stuck a constenant on the end for your name - or maybe it has some meaning i'm not aware of?

Anyway what i'm saying is, I think perhaps the person uses some term that you find offensive as part of their natural speach (ie: Not meant offensively, even if they are utterly offensive), or because you are making some statement in some way that identifies you as being of a particular creed and in so doing possibly (I mean possibly) offending them?

Im lebanese, but also australian (being born in australia), the same guy, i have been called a terroist and everyone run etc, been paid out for how lebanese speak around here, been told off to go back to my own country etc.. just really gets annoying ya kno .

Well... nowadays who hasn't been called a terrorist? I'm a Finn so I have a pale ass, I'm suicidal and Sweden beats us every time in ice-hockey. Do I care, no?

I've never seen any racism happen in LFS. Like Becky said, unless you advertise to people where you're from, they don't know you from anyone else.
And especially since your profile here has the Australian flag on it, there's no way people would know your ethnic origins.

But I don't think there's any country in the world that can't have a prejudice associated with it if you put your mind to it. Try not to take it too personally, because generally people who resort to racism are complete idiots.

I understand how you'll get that a bit on Aussie servers.

there has been ALOT of lebanese v australian fights in australia, mainly sydney (not contry v country, people v people)... thats why...

I'm not sure how that would work in LFS, "Go back to your own server" would soon result in a lot of single player games .

It is quite sad that racism still exists in the world today, but then, there's a heck of a lot thats ballsed up in this world.

The frank truth is if you get more than half a dozen humans in the same room then somebody wont like somebody, and often for the most irrational things. I think I myself might be a bit cringist myself: There's somebody I know who makes me cringe everytime they talk.

Anyway I hope the in game abuse you've had doesnt get too out of sorts. I'm proud of my heritage and even have a car with a flag on the side, so I do feel that it isnt your place to change / subdue any national heritage you exhibit - but then, as a defeated people, the Welsh have never really upset any other countries so nobody hurls abuse at us... We've a few things to say about the hated English mind...

I suspect if you have an MPR and you didnt do anything to like bring this on, then you could email the dev's and explain the situation. It might not do anything, but its worth a try.

The guy can probably be banned for a couple of months, no more

Internet racist pukes don't need positive ID, they very often just go on and on and on about whatever variant of homo sapiens gets their attention, independently of the accuracy of their brain's race-detection apparatus or of the veracity of their fantasies.

The surest way to catch them is to very passively play along with them for a good replay or screenshot. One of these guys actually pitted in and back out to show me a nazi skin when I only suggested he was not serious about spamming the server with his macros and that he would have better luck at satisfying his stress by keeping his hands on the wheel to race along with everyone. Hehe..

The license that everyone has to (kinda) sign says:

So if you're victim of such offensive behavior, save a replay, and send it to the devs. You can also remind the offender of this particular clause and give him a chance to change his behavior before you report it. Might work without having to involve the devs.

Mofo's like this should have their licences revolked!

I also noticed a guy speaking in a very disrespectfull way about Molukan people.

Both these guys obviously got banned.

1:st rule at LFSWorld skin uploading: If a skin that contains nudity, pornographic, racist or any other extremely offensive content is uploaded, the skin(s) will be removed without notice and you will no longer be allowed to upload skins here.


So my question is: are the devs supposed to do this or can some "moderator" or something do it? ive seen skins that looked worser than that..

They are just attention whores, the worse you can do to them is ignore them, the best you can do is...well...open a thread about them.

Call me crazy, but I would have no problem with that nazi skin as long as he doesn't insult anyone or hold political speeches. It's better to leave those kind of people in the open so everyone knows who they are. The worse are those who hide it.

Now seeing some of the LFS rules, ill let it go, hes only done it 2 me wat 3-4 times??

If he does it again, ill send in afew MPR's i got..

I dont mind racism copping for fun, a jokes a joke, but not when they do it to bug you and try to get to ya..
