possible to autorun lfs on single core?
thread title tells most of the story already...
i got a dual core pc and always need to switch manually to the right core and raise priority

question:

could it be possible to start lfs in a single core with high priority automatically? over a batch file for example
i tried to google a bit but its not really helpful if your not sure what your searching for ^^

Windows should auto balance it shouldn't it?

I think you can use an app called "ForceCore" to force a core (duh!) and you can use a batch file to set high-priority, if only i could remember how!

because xps thread handling is beyond rubbish ... it tries to balance thread by constantly moving them from one core to another

merci, that answer gave enough hints to google me in the right direction,
i now managed to run it either on one core or with high priority.

searching for a way to combine them now, i will be back with a solution hopefully

edit: tschakka i really managed it, in case somebody needs it here is what i did:

downloaded that prog: http://www.robpol86.com/Pages/imagecfg.php (install it correctly)
then i did a batch file in my lfs folder looks like that:

@echo off
imagecfg -u lfs.exe
imagecfg -a 0x1 lfs.exe
cd /d lfs_s2_alpha_v
start /high LFS.exe

coders will probably laugh at me, i just fooled around a bit and somehow it worked ^^

i'm not a fan of bumping old threads but i found an easier solution for that and maybe somebody is happy if he can use it, the old software also screwed up my affinity settings from other progs sometimes. so here is the new one it works with gui and you just add different exe's to a list and it will always boot up on the right core if you got it running
