Ingame local master/slave packet relay agent
Something like an ingame local master/slave packet relay agent that would allow two or more instances of LFS to run on the same PC, while only requiring one connection to the Master Server and the Server your racing on.

This would allow you to have multiple independant views, one view for each instance of LFS you have running. This way you could achieve independant views without a rewrite of the LFS graphics system and also avoid taking up extra slots on servers keeping bandwidth to a minimum.

This can be done at the moment but means you have to have multiple accounts and be logged on with all of them, the main disadvantage with this is that all views aren't in sync as each instance of LFS is getting its own packet stream. With a packet relay agent all instances of LFS would get the same packet stream and therefore look more stable.

Don't know if this would be possible at all but thought I'd through it out there and see what happens
Quote from icyocean :a program that relays all LFS packets for more LFS client instances could be useful.

Yes it could be used for a bunch of applications, some being:
1. Having unlimited viewing windows with independant FOV's. Think five monitors or more, like you can in MS Flight Sim
2. Team manager can watch progress of race without taking up a slot on the server and direct his teams drivers regarding strategy etc.
3. Unlimited ability to have race officials viewing a race.
4. Spectators can watch an event live. (Think sponsers, pay per view oportunities, etc that could open up in the future) Perhaps have the demo version allow viewing of events but not access to the cars. (This is an advantage over streaming video as low bandwidth users can still see the event live).
Many possibilities I guess.

So a host server option that could broadcast all packets just for viewing only would be suficient for most of the uses, but an ingame relay to local PC's on an internal network would be required to do a suitably stable multi monitor setup. If Scawen just made it so you could view streaming packets from a server then it maybe be possiblle that an unofficial addon could be made to capture packets being sent to your main LFS client then display them on other instances of LFS for multi monitor setups with individual FOV's.

As I said though don't really know how possible any of this would be as it may have security issues or something
