STCC1B and the population...
Hey all,

First of all I would like to say I love the idea of the STCC licensing system. It keeps those crashers away. And I really want to get that silver license. But that seems to be impossible. 90% of the people racing there are either blind, or just stupid. I've haven't got one SINGLE race without getting crashed out of the race. I've been racing the UF1 lately but it seems to be it's a bumper car for others. People tend to go blindly through the inside with sick speeds crash into you and you can probally think of the result. I'm aware that I'm not a perfect driver but I atleast look sideways before overtaking or getting back on the raceline.

Now I'm wondering is it just bad luck or is it just how people tend to race these days ?
We provide the servers, but we dont provide the population: That's down to you guys.

This post I made in the middle of this thread here is perhaps rellevent: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=400413#post400413

Every month or two the active population of the STCC 1st tier servers gets enough new blood in that the 'old ways' are forgotten and we have to start over and teach these new drivers that we wont stand for the typical standard of driving found elsewhere, and that when on an STCC server we expect drivers to race properly.

As i've said many times before, we have an educate rather than ban policy (although we do issue bans) - but we cant educate if we dont know who needs guidance.
Try STCC1A. In my experience it seems like there you actually get more people whining about how everyone is wrecking them than you do actual wreckers.

You'll excuse my attitude towards said people--it gets old fast, and chances are far more that you're blocking traffic, being disruptive and causing contact than everyone else is.
